MARI MATTHAM built recently, better known as M23 began his career in the 80s as a radio director,
and start his musical productions for film Soundtracks and Electronic Soundscape Music, New Wave music,
He participates in many productions of high international artist of that time and then get to the world of jazz, where it operates as a promoter for many years.
Having never left the world of electronic music follows the Detroit Techno world starting to produce as M23 with deep sounds and experimental, and two years as MARI MATTHAM along the lines of the British techno and Berlin techno Talent scout helps and contributes to the growth of many young label and still participates in the activities of many start-ups. Eclectic, but determined, his productions are abstract sounds and scenarios, with impossible visions and distorted. I carry over rule them in a landscape of waves and vibrations, striking the imagination with sensations of serenity and inquetude alternating. breaks, happiness and fear, as opposed to straight techno and decisive. A combination of 32 years of music, M23 born in Italy in 1967, already 15 years behind the decks and puts in time whit the vinil , Tavares, Chic, the Jackson brothers. He works as a DJ at a radio station, and began the first production of music then still very instrumental. Comes to electronic music after spending time immersed first in Rock-mail, Afromusic, and Woldmusic, arriving in the late 80s as one of the most requested
DJ NewWave Punk-electro epoca.
Collaborate with Visage, Depheche Mode, Talkin Heads, Human League and began
his career as a producer of electronic music in collaboration with Massive Attach,
the production of the first album Blue Lines.
In the 90's with the new sound, inspired by acid jazz, and all current UK garage,
but mostly from Detroit, starts the techno route, first with the Ambient House and Techno with extreme hardcore. In the early 2000s, the M23 moves for 8 years in Jazz and Chill Out, Working with big names
like Pat Matheney, Chic Korea, and promoting jazz concerts in Italy, by inserting as opening his DJ September Back in the techno world in 2008 after taking over the world of the dance floor
in the city of Milan, binding to the group of intelligentsia electronica and creating the label of the same name as well as collaborations with a number of events, with the most important producer in the world,
including Jeff Mills, whose recent concert in Milan have always been open in his set.
Very important in conjunction with SLAM MODE (NY), the pquale produced
a double album vinyl (Conversation) which will be distributed all over the world with great success.
He currently lives in Milan, owner of BigMrecords, Intellighenzia Electronica Records
with Tommaso Marasma .Joining him in the street parade producers of Milan,
a format Silentdisco very famous, and collaborates
with CLUB20 socialcenter initiative aggregation cultural associations linked to the development of youth.Very musically active as a producer, collaborating with many artists to release promoting the development of many new talents

“Autoritá presenti di tutte le latitudini e organismi, grazie mille. Grazie al popolo del Brasile e alla sua Sra. Presidentessa, Dilma Rousseff. Mille grazie alla buona fede che, sicuramente, hanno presentato tutti gli oratori che mi hanno preceduto.
Esprimiamo la profonda volontá come governanti di sostenere tutti gli accordi che, questa, nostra povera umanitá, possa sottoscrivere.

Comunque, permettetteci fare alcune domande a voce alta. Tutto il pomeriggio si é parlato dello sviluppo sostenibile. Di tirare fuori le immense masse dalle povertá.

Che cosa svolazza nella nostra testa? Il modello di sviluppo e di consumo, che é l’attuale delle societá ricche?
Mi faccio questa domanda: che cosa succederebbe al pianeta se gli indú in proporzione avessero la stessa quantità di auto per famiglia che hanno i tedeschi?

Quanto ossigeno resterebbe per poter respirare? Piú chiaramente: possiede il Mondo oggi gli elementi materiali per rendere possibile che 7 o 8 miliardi di persone possano sostenere lo stesso grado di consumo e sperpero che hanno le piú opulente societá occidentali? Sará possibile tutto ció?
O dovremmo sostenere un giorno, un altro tipo di discussione?
Perché abbiamo creato questa civilizzazione nella quale stiamo: figlia del mercato, figlia della competizione e che ha portato un progresso materiale portentoso ed esplosivo. Ma l’economia di mercato ha creato societá di mercato. E ci ha rifilato questa globalizzazione, che significa guardare in tutto il pianeta.

Stiamo governando la globalizzazione o la globalizzazione ci governa??? É possibile parlare di solidarietá e dello stare tutti insieme in una economía basata sulla competizione spietata? Fino a dove arriva la nostra fraternitá?

Non dico queste cose per negare l’importanza di quest’evento. Ma al contrario: la sfida che abbiamo davanti é di una magnitutine di carattere colossale e la grande crisi non é ecológica, é política!

L’uomo non governa oggi le forze che ha sprigionato, ma queste forze governano l’uomo ... E la vita!
Perché non veniamo alla luce per svilupparci solamente, cosí, in generale.

Veniamo alla luce per essere felici. Perché la vita é corta e se ne va via rapidamente. E nessun bene vale come la vita, questo é elementare. Ma se la vita mi scappa via, lavorando e lavorando per consumare un plus e la societá di consumo é il motore, perché, in definitiva, se si paralizza il consumo, si ferma l’economia, e se si ferma l’economia, appare il fantasma del ristagno per ognuno di noi. Ma questo iper consumo é lo stesso che sta aggredendo il pianeta.
Peró loro devono generare questo iper consumo, producono le cose che durano poco, perché devono vendere tanto. Una lampadina elettirica, quindi, non puó durare piú di 1000 ore accesa. Peró esistono lampadine che possono durare 100mila ore accese!
Ma questo non si puó fare perché il problema é il mercato, perché dobbiamo lavorare e dobbiamo sostenere una civilizzazione dell’usa e getta, e cosí rimaniamo in un circolo vizioso.

Questi sono problemi di carattere político che ci stanno indicando che é ora di cominciare a lottare per un’altra cultura.

Non si tratta di immaginarci il ritorno all’epoca dell’uomo delle caverne, né di avere un monumento all’arretratezza. Peró non possiamo continuare, indefinitamente, governati dal mercato, dobbiamo cominciare a governare il mercato.

Per questo dico, nella mia umile maniera di pensare, che il problema che abbiamo davanti é di carattere político. I vecchi pensatori – Epicuro, Seneca o finanche gli Aymara – dicevano: “povero non é colui che tiene poco, ma colui che necessita tanto e desidera ancora di piú e piú”.
Questa é una chiave di carattere culturale.

Quindi, saluteró volentieri lo sforzo e gli accordi che si fanno. E li sosterró, come governante.
Só che alcune cose che sto dicendo, stridono. Ma dobbiamo capire che la crisi dell’acqua e dell’aggressione al medio ambiente non é la causa.

La causa é il modello di civilizzazione che abbiamo montato.
E quello che dobbiamo cambiare é la nostra forma di vivere!

Appartengo a un piccolo paese molto dotato di risorse naturali per vivere. Nel mio paese ci sono poco piú di 3 milioni di abitanti. Ma ci sono anche 13 milioni di vacche, delle migliori al mondo. E circa 8 o 10 milioni di meravigliose pecore. Il mio paese é un esportatore di cibo, di latticini, di carne. É una semipianura e quasi il 90% del suo territorio é sfruttabile.

I miei compagni lavoratori, lottarono tanto per le 8 ore di lavoro. E ora stanno ottenendo le 6 ore. Ma quello che lavora 6 ore, poi si cerca due lavori; pertanto, lavora piú di prima. Perché? Perché deve pagare una quantitá di rate: la moto, l’auto, e paga una quota e un’altra e un’altra e quando si vuole ricordare … é un vecchio reumático – come me – al quale giá gli passó la vita davanti!

E allora uno si fa questa domanda: questo é il destino della vita umana?
Queste cose che dico sono molto elementari: lo sviluppo non puó essere contrario alla felicitá. Deve essere a favore della felicitá umana; dell’amore sulla Terra, delle relazioni umane, dell’attenzione ai figli, dell’avere amici, dell’avere il giusto, l’elementare.

Precisamente. Perché é questo il tesoro piú importante che abbiamo: la felicitá!
Quando lottiamo per il medio ambiente, dobbiamo ricordare che il primo elemento del medio ambiente si chiama felicitá umana!”

“Autoritá presenti di tutte le latitudini e organismi, grazie mille. Grazie al popolo del Brasile e alla sua Sra. Presidentessa, Dilma Rousseff. Mille grazie alla buona fede che, sicuramente, hanno presentato tutti gli oratori che mi hanno preceduto.
Esprimiamo la profonda volontá come governanti di sostenere tutti gli accordi che, questa, nostra povera umanitá, possa sottoscrivere.

Comunque, permettetteci fare alcune domande a voce alta. Tutto il pomeriggio si é parlato dello sviluppo sostenibile. Di tirare fuori le immense masse dalle povertá.

Che cosa svolazza nella nostra testa? Il modello di sviluppo e di consumo, che é l’attuale delle societá ricche?
Mi faccio questa domanda: che cosa succederebbe al pianeta se gli indú in proporzione avessero la stessa quantità di auto per famiglia che hanno i tedeschi?

Quanto ossigeno resterebbe per poter respirare? Piú chiaramente: possiede il Mondo oggi gli elementi materiali per rendere possibile che 7 o 8 miliardi di persone possano sostenere lo stesso grado di consumo e sperpero che hanno le piú opulente societá occidentali? Sará possibile tutto ció?
O dovremmo sostenere un giorno, un altro tipo di discussione?
Perché abbiamo creato questa civilizzazione nella quale stiamo: figlia del mercato, figlia della competizione e che ha portato un progresso materiale portentoso ed esplosivo. Ma l’economia di mercato ha creato societá di mercato. E ci ha rifilato questa globalizzazione, che significa guardare in tutto il pianeta.

Stiamo governando la globalizzazione o la globalizzazione ci governa??? É possibile parlare di solidarietá e dello stare tutti insieme in una economía basata sulla competizione spietata? Fino a dove arriva la nostra fraternitá?

Non dico queste cose per negare l’importanza di quest’evento. Ma al contrario: la sfida che abbiamo davanti é di una magnitutine di carattere colossale e la grande crisi non é ecológica, é política!

L’uomo non governa oggi le forze che ha sprigionato, ma queste forze governano l’uomo ... E la vita!
Perché non veniamo alla luce per svilupparci solamente, cosí, in generale.

Veniamo alla luce per essere felici. Perché la vita é corta e se ne va via rapidamente. E nessun bene vale come la vita, questo é elementare. Ma se la vita mi scappa via, lavorando e lavorando per consumare un plus e la societá di consumo é il motore, perché, in definitiva, se si paralizza il consumo, si ferma l’economia, e se si ferma l’economia, appare il fantasma del ristagno per ognuno di noi. Ma questo iper consumo é lo stesso che sta aggredendo il pianeta.
Peró loro devono generare questo iper consumo, producono le cose che durano poco, perché devono vendere tanto. Una lampadina elettirica, quindi, non puó durare piú di 1000 ore accesa. Peró esistono lampadine che possono durare 100mila ore accese!
Ma questo non si puó fare perché il problema é il mercato, perché dobbiamo lavorare e dobbiamo sostenere una civilizzazione dell’usa e getta, e cosí rimaniamo in un circolo vizioso.

Questi sono problemi di carattere político che ci stanno indicando che é ora di cominciare a lottare per un’altra cultura.

Non si tratta di immaginarci il ritorno all’epoca dell’uomo delle caverne, né di avere un monumento all’arretratezza. Peró non possiamo continuare, indefinitamente, governati dal mercato, dobbiamo cominciare a governare il mercato.
