So I wanted to cheer myself up and went through my shelves to the Caribbean section. Yes, I know that sounds quite ridiculous but it is the only way I can get to all the items of certain genres. Trust me, it works...ok. And I needed some cheerful music that filled my mind with warmth and sunnier climes. And here is the result of that stolen afternoon in a grey, miserable London. A lot of these records I have not played for quite sometime so it was good to hear them again.

It's a mixture of jazz, soul, funk. disco, biguine, cadence-lypso and salsa among many other styles.

Apologies to you all, my regular listeners, for my musical absence. It has been a while since my last mix. Unfortuantely, my father was taken ill and has since passed away and the enthusiasm to put some music on simply vanished. I am sure you all understand and can forgive me for leaving you in the wilderness for a while.
But I would like to offer this latest mix full of modern jazz to you all as a sign that I am back and eager as ever to supply some sublime jazz that other shows, at times, sadly overlook.
