Second mix. Turned down the distortion a lot on both lead and accompaniment. Accompaniment got a gentle -6dB/oct highpass filter at a high cutoff. Lead got lowpass filters both before and after the distortion to make lead less jarring and a highpass filter to separate it from the bass. Bass got a gentle highpass fitler to separate it from the kick. The lead desperately needed some pauses (resting periods) so I cut out unessential filler phrases and shortened held notes to let the accompaniment come through. It would have sounded better if I had played more sparsely when recording, but this is much better.
