In this song he tells a story about himself being 73 (that would be in 2019) and his memories of when he was at the height of his fame. Néanmoins, au-delà du symbole que représente le message "Je suis Charlie", je ne peux m'empêcher de me sentir un peu usurpateur en me l'appropriant. En effet je n'étais pas lecteur de Charlie Hebdo et je n'apprécie que modérément l'humour associé à la provocation vulgaire. Mais je me rend compte à la lumière de ces tristes événements qu'une poignée d'hommes engagés a consacré une grande partie de leur vie à alerter, à leur manière, l'opinion publique sur les dérives d'une minorité qui se prétend religieuse et qui menace notre sécurité, ainsi que sur les dérives de certains hommes au pouvoir qui défendent leurs intérêts plus que ceux de la société. Certains vivaient sous protection policière et sous une menace permanente. Pendant ce temps je vis confortablement ma routine quotidienne et je dois reconnaître qu'à part me brûler les doigts dans le grille-pain je ne risque pas grand-chose. Je constate passivement que quelques individus profitent à fond du système pour s'enrichir en creusant toujours plus l'écart avec la population pauvre grandissante à travers le monde (et je ne suis d'ailleurs pas fier d'être comme de très nombreux français dans le 1% de la population qui détient la moitié des richesses mondiales), ainsi que la montée de la menace terroriste des extrémistes soit-disant religieux. Les disputes entre nos hommes politiques au sujet de la marche républicaine de demain me scandalisent au plus haut point : comment peut-on se regarder le nombril à ce point pendant que les familles pleurent leurs victimes et continueront à les pleurer dans des mois, quand tout le monde aura rangé les panneaux "Je suis Charlie" au placard ? Même les disputes de mes enfants me paraissent moins futiles.

Donc non, je ne me sens pas totalement Charlie ou plus exactement, je n'ai pas l'impression de mériter ce rôle. Alors bien que je soie frileux dans l'engagement, à mon petit niveau j'ai eu une envie spontanée de faire quelque chose pour ne pas rester totalement dans l'apathie face à ces événements. J'ai donc passé une bonne partie de la nuit à écrire ce texte et cette musique puis à l'enregistrer, et j'ai illustré le tout avec quelques images en guise d'hommage aux douze victimes. Longue vie à la liberté d'expression et aux droits de l'homme !]]>
