I had just gotten a hold of a Maschine controller and i wanted to use it to edit the shit out of some vocals. Trouble was I didn't have any. But i knew Rosa is the type of artist with shitloads of guest vocals on her releases so I asked her if i could have some of them. She sent me a bunch. I settled on the vocals from her Lose You single released a few years back. I liked how the song was a bit bluesy and melancholic but with a sense of hope. Now i wanted to see if i could surgically remove the bluesy hope from it.

While playing the male vocals on the pads the project started to get out of hand. All of a sudden i had not just settled for cutting the vocals to pieces. I also wanted too resynthesize them so that that made up most of the melodic content in the background. And i wanted to make synths sound like guitars and and make two drum machines run two different grooves against each other to the point that they almost went out of balance. The project was running me instead of me running it. I didn't know where I was going. All of a sudden everything came together by it self, almost as if I wasn't doing it. It turned into this monster by its own will... Free Download. (Tnx Rosa)
