<itunes:summary>Music where millennial sound design meets classical harmony, producing moments of sheer beauty encased in hard shells of structured progressions both melodic and harmonic. Electronic music using classical forms with an element of music concrete. Music with orderly planned development, structured, with a destination. Music that demands and rewards attention, that continues to deliver new and fresh insights with repeated listening. Music that requires you to surrender and give yourself up to it for a period, that provides more than a single mood moment or transitory feeling. Perhaps more like a compendium. A book series. A world of its own in multifarious detail, with meaning and which touches deeply.
Do you find something lacking in your current listening. Some level of stimulation and engagement which is absent despite your current enjoyment? I did. That’s why I am making this music, it is the music I want to find and hear, but never do. Maybe this music is for you, too.
In my other life I am a British University Professor who has authored a couple of books and more than 100 published papers, and my research is applied all around the world. In this life I am a composer-producer of electro-acoustic music. I eat, drink, and breathe music, study music, analyse music, play music, and create music. Share in my experience of the world by listening here. If you like what you experience, like my tracks, comment on them, and follow my work here or on Youtube or Facebook.</itunes:summary>

In this music I wanted to use dark and light as the central ideas. The field samples I included were chosen with this mind, I picked those from my collection that I associated with those feelings and sensations, and after processing them, applied them to different sections of the piece in alignment with the harmonies, melodies, and particularly the bass sounds. There is a lot of bass in this piece, and distortion too.
Applying such broad and deep concepts in music was more challenging than I anticipated, but I think you the listener will have a good idea of those feelings if you listen to the whole work, which is in two movements.
