When we prepared this special collection together, we realized how much a lot of our iconic French Artists took part to an incredible high level game in the French music business. The game was clear : Producing American influenced Music with the aim to obtain equal results in musical quality. But it was more than following the trends of the era. It was a musical love affair led by French studio Musicians. Some of them are our own heroes and we wanted to introduce them to an international audience.

Guitarist and arranger extraordinaire, Slim Pezin, In the pocket Drummers, Pierre-Alain Dahan, André Ceccarelli, or Manu Katche, Legendary Bassists, sauveur mallia or Christian Padovan, keyboardists And arrangers Gabriel Yared, Raymond donney (aka don ray), the irresistible Jean Shultheis, George Rodi, « who’s who Percussionist, Marc Chantereau. They were all here laying down tracks day and night in several studios in the golden age of French music in the seventies, cutting records With famous engineer Dominique Blanc Francard, and the best of them all - Bernard Estardy who worked with everybody here.

Of course, as « rainbow seekers » we were familiar with most of these tracks. But we found more incredible tracks while we were digging hard. Some popped like old souvenirs and other were more obvious. But all these songs represent a certain sophistication in the making of French music, with the american stamp all over it. We are proud to share this heritage with you. As Italy had it’s own boogie, We had our own west coast, our good Disco back in the day.
That’s where we’re coming from.
We’re also proud to pick up some amazing stuff to add some curiosity and fun to the set coming from Sacha Distel, Sylvie Vartan and Nicole croisille - yes they also did West coast !

In loving memory to all the cats we mentioned who laid down these incredible grooves. Our French Heroes. To be continued.
Be prepared for sequels and also a FSFYP special French AOR/boogie
