TIE Fighter Soundtrack

by Laserschwert

After several false starts I've finally managed to convert the (almost complete) soundtrack to LucasArts' space simulator "TIE Fighter" from MIDI to audio, in a quality I'm actually quite happy with. The biggest chunk missing is the inflight music, which is very difficult to arrange as it consists of dozens of little snippets that get arranged in realtime during the game.

A fantastic suite of these inflight-themes can be found here: soundcloud.com/kusi81/ode-to-t...ie-x-6-game-tie

I've used East West Quantum Leap Orchestra and Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 in conjuction with Cockos' Reaper for this.
The original soundtrack was composed by Michael Land, Clint Bajakian and Peter McConnell, using both original music and themes by John Williams.

UPDATE June 17th 2012: I've updated all tracks (well, except for two that didn't have brass instruments in them), using EastWest's "Hollywood Brass" for most brass instruments, plus some further tweaks to the tracks.
