autonomy mix series

by largo

with ~250 tracks in 8.5 hours, this mix series is mostly a personal tribute to dnb, but starts and ends with a bit of shoegazy stuff.

parts 1 - 7 are mostly dnb (with hip hop, downtempo & ambient bits). part 8 starts with dnb but finishes with hip hop & dubstep. part 9 is a genre bender of of idm/breaks/dubstep/etc. part 10 is mostly prog house/prog breaks.

most tracks were edited prior to mixing, many quite heavily, to better suit this mix and for tighter transitions... but also to eliminate almost all lengthy breakdowns that, in my opinion, take up way too much space in dnb. so if you're used to lots of quiet time in your dnb, get ready for the beats to slap relentlessly for a few hours :)

parts 1 & 2: moody and somewhat dark/heavy at times, with a good chunk of 'halftime' dnb/downtempo, dubby & ambient elements

part 3: starts a bit slow, but within 20 odd minutes you best brace yourself for a solid hour of thumping dancefloor dnb :D

part 4: a transition from heavy dancefloor dnb into rollers and 'liquid' dnb vibes

part 5: starts downtempo and builds to a few instant classic bangers from the last 20+ years, and some emo/grungey dnb

part 6: mcing & hip hop are sprinkled throughout the series, but this part has more than any other

part 7: starts with a chunk of acab rhymes and dnb, then rapidly flips through a variety of (mostly) lesser known funky/moody understated bangers & some mellower grooves

part 8: the 'mostly dnb' that makes up the first six hours of the series wraps up in this part, by dropping some heavier classics with a couple of newer tunes... then bumps along with a blend of dubstep/hip hop/chillstep

part 9: a genre bender of idm, dubstep, breaks and more

part 10: my fav music other than dnb... prog house/prog breaks with lots of genre bending fun :)
