Taken from Merci Jitter MOVEMENTS VOL. II, "Club Protocol" offers extremely cinematic background since the beginning, starting with a long hypnotic and sedative intro, modulated frequencies gets you in the mood for a ride that starts on F1 rpm, cutting the vision while long deep notes prepares the 135 BPM beats. Eyes closed, panned sounds and a plethora of decades in influences from old school rave synths meet dubstep, grime and baile funk, you hear me right.

This new electronic hybrids, child of fast technologies and fast interconnection with different artists from areas such visual and graphics, coders, photographers, producers, MCs, musicians, DJs, bloggers find nest in collectives like Merci Jitter. In the past they entered in our blog with Kim Kate and titles like "Coding reality from Seoul to London", now we go to Madrid to meet producer Snowy Beatz, which is also not new here. Not long ago he dropped a series of 12 edits with unlikely blends of R&B, EBM, Grime, Vogue House and 80s Electro together in plays on NTS, Radar or last year "Rapture" on SNØ recordings. While being driving force behind Total Trax record label he pushes Spanish new wave of electronic music with with ties to rap, grime, and club hybrids to listeners worldwide.

Reinventing the golden era of now dead genres in a way that keeps it classical, retires excessive climax and do not relies too much on repetition due to inventive blend of rhythms from different music traditions. More than trying to create something completely new, he's trying to push good existing ideas forward, finding parallel in detached club music prototype by Mumdance & Logos. MOVEMENTS VOL. II is composed of 12 tracks and 13 international artists ranging from Lithuania to China, bringing local subgenres & sub-cultures to vast geographic range of listeners.

This thematic has been visualised through the artwork which features the pieces of American ceramic artist Kristin McKirdy, photographed by French photographer Benoit Grellet. McKirdy’s work presents a similar idea, in which her work fuses traditional ceramic techniques with design perspectives whilst taking inspiration from the art of porcelain, Chinese, Japanese pottery as well as paganism.
