Welcome to August 2018 editions of Laconic.

African proverb: Every king has a mother

August is Women's Month in South Africa, a month in which we, as a country, honour women's courage and tenacity in combating injustice and (most importantly) nourishing all lives. Laconic has been displaying female pictures in the spirit of appreciating women, as you may have seen. This, however, will not end after the month is up; honouring women is as natural as waking up.
