It's a bit late for a New Years song, but I only wrote it on New Years Eve, so it took me another couple of days to record it properly. This song is 100% autobiographical, on this day, I somehow said goodbye to my marriage, my home, my life as it was.....and writing this song during the evening really helped me get through with this.

The beginning of this piece was running around in my head one night and wouldn't let me sleep, so I got up and recorded the first bars in the middle of the night....then I left it for a while until on a pretty dreary day, I opened it up again and gave the piece a totally different turn.
