This is my submission for a beat battle contest over at the IDMforums. I whipped it together in about a week or so and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

The rules are as follows:

-Must have elements of electronic/IDM
-Must use a minimum of 6 samples from the provided sample pack (there were over 50 provided).
-The samples are the only sound source allowed (in this case we were able to use one instrument of our choosing as well).
-Minimum track time of 3 minutes
-The track needs to have at least two clearly recognizable sections (adagio, giocoso, verse, chorus, etc.)
-The winner of the Beat Battle will host the next one (provide rules, samples, etc).

I decided to go with an odd time signature to give it a slightly disjointed feeling (7/4). For my instrument I used a Serum pluck-type patch.
