Biography
Dan Music music has emigrated. A former resident of the Netherlands, bounced out by the EDM basslines, it seems the UK is now the home of Electonic Music. But not just for the Oakenfold's, Adam Bayer's and Carl Cox's of the world, the UK has a wealth of uprising talent. Fitting that bill perfectly is Coventry born DJ Jordan Sweeney.
Whilst the North and South of England battled for Dance Music supremacy, Jordan was helping to rebuild the Midlands scene, washed out by the closure of Air. After DJing around the area, Jordan started his own night - Smack! - in Coventry in 2011, learning the business aspect of the industry. This acted as springboard for Jordan to play at some of the countries biggest nights: Gatecrasher, Godskitchen and Xstatic.
Having established his name with promoters across the region, Jordan was adopted into the Passion family and played regularly at the legendary night until its closure. Never one to dwell, Jordan Became the first resident for the new Trancecoda event, looking to fill the Passion shape void.
Trancecoda also decided that Jordan was the perfect DJ to start their podcasts, the blueprint sound for the brand.
This Year Jordan is looking to showcase a wider range of music pulling in influences of house and techno as well as the trance sound he became recognised for, with this is mind he released a new podcast called “The Music Podcast” which is a monthly show that is not directly dedicated to one style or sound of music. 2015 is already shaping up to be successful.
Having played alongside Ferry Corsten, John O'Callaghan and Simon Patterson, Jordan knows exactly what it takes to impress a crowd. And if you've been to a dance event in the Midlands, the chances are you've already been impressed.
The region may be playing catch up with regards to the North & South, but Jordan is bridging the gap with every set.]]></itunes:summary>
