Purification EP

by John Ov3rblast

Purification EP from the Suburban Sound Recordings . Inspired from the Greek ancient Eleusinian Mysteries and the Syrinx nymph.

The Eleusinian Mysteries (Greek: ????????? ????????) were initiation ceremonies held every year for the cult of Demeter and Persephone based at Eleusis in ancient Greece.
They are the "most famous of the secret religious rites of ancient Greece"
The rites, ceremonies, and beliefs were kept secret and consistently preserved from antiquity.
The initiated believed that they would have a reward in the afterlife.

In classical mythology, Syrinx(Greek ??????) was a nymph and a follower of Artemis, known for her chastity. Pursued by the amorous Greek god Pan, she ran to a river's edge and asked for assistance from the river nymphs.
In answer, she was transformed into hollow water reeds that made a haunting sound when the god's frustrated breath blew across them.
Pan cut the reeds to fashion the first set of pan pipes, which were thenceforth known as syrinx.
