Jazz Infinity - Harmony (Various artists): John Marcus

What is Harmony? I know what it is, but I wanted to look it up so I could give you an official definition. According to my big, fat New Lexicon Webster’s Dictionary of the English Language, harmony is a pleasing combination of musical sounds. Of course, it goes on to say more: the relationship between two or more notes played or sung simultaneously, and that’s what I’m looking for. I want to focus on harmony because it’s hard enough to get one person to do one thing. Very hard for multiple people doing multiple things, but that’s what it’s going to take to bring the human race closer together. A little harmony. Not just on the same page. Singing in the same key. And musically speaking. Harmony is the sound of people working together.
