LOCAL HEROES@PALAIS MUNICH
Mitte Mai sind im Palais mal wieder eine ganze Reihe von örtlichen Größen des DJ-Business am Start, um ein unvergessliches Heimspiel abzuliefern. Den Anfang macht Flow. Seit mehr als eineinhalb Jahrzehnten erforscht er die spannendsten Facetten elektronischer Musik und testet, wie man sie optimal zusammenmischt. Er war mehrere Jahre Resident-DJ in einem kleinen Club in Hessen. Seit Flow in München wohnt, spielt er recht regelmäßig im Palais. Seine Sets sind nicht vorhersehbar. Er orientiert sich an der Tagesform der Crowd und lässt sich dabei mal von funky Housetunes, mal von straightem Techno leiten. Hauptsache die Qualität stimmt.

Das ist auch eine Prämisse des DJ-Kollektivs Expressed Movement: Zeitlose elektronische Tanzmusik mit Niveau auf die Floors zu zaubern, ohne dabei dem Mainstream gerecht werden zu müssen. Am 15. Mai werden die beiden expressiven Movement-Meister Ivanez (auch als Spacedrum bekannt) und Sub:spect höchstpersönlich aus ihrer feinsortierten Plattensammlung zitieren. Zwischendurch lassen sie aber auch ihren Kollegen George Bleicher zu Wort respektive zu Beat kommen. Der Kopf der Reihe „We PLaY“ versteht es nämlich ähnlich gut, die Stimmung hoch zu halten mit seinen rollenden Techhouse-Beats, groovenden Basslines und peitschenden HiHats. Da wird es den Tänzern gleichermaßen warm ums Herz und an den Füßen.
