The title song itself is hauntingly groovy. Both music and lyrics alike are energizing and the message is as simple as true: You only got this one life, go take control and responsibility for it.
The other distinctive track on this album – “Dance Is My Religion” its a 100% energy disco burner, a glimmering disco crystal ball with only one mission: to make you dance and smile.
As usual on Emerald & Doreen, there is a fine selection of equally inspirational yet diverse remixes. mikael fas takes “Now” to the mellow deep zone with pitched down vocals and cool, lascivious synths.
Headpocket’s Dancing Vicar Remix is so beautifully relaxed, it makes you wonder what drink the clergy man is sipping on. Probably a perfectly crafted deep house cocktail with a funky cherry.
Irregular Disco Workers teamed up with Prince (well, sort of:-) giving “Dance Is My Religion” a funky acid makeover, that bass is simply badass!

Recording together for just one year, Detroit-born Moriah Nixon and Londoner Lee Boyd have finally found their musical muse in one another, and are already making waves with their unique sound.

Moriah's pure pop voice beautifully complements Lee's groove-heavy cinematic soundscapes.

KOshowKO is the brainchild of Polish born, Melbourne based producer Martin K, also known for his releases under the Philosophy Of Sound moniker on Discotexas.

He started KOshowKO 10 years ago and used it as a vehicle to collaborate with several artists and explore various shades of electronic music from dub to indie pop and dance. KOshowKO has released tunes on Emerald And Doreen, Clan Analogue and Martin's own label Las Machinas as well as performed live at White Night, Renaissance Festival, Opoeia Festival, Electundra, St Kilda Festival in Australia, he also played live in Germany and Poland.
KOshowKO track ‘The Story’ was a finalist of The International Songwriting Competition in the Dance category in 2009 and his music videos have been screened around the globe in a selection of film and music video festivals. The story of 'It's Time Now' goes back quite a few years, all the way to 2003 when Martin composed and produced the first demo of the track and sang the words 'crying hard' into a vocoder. Later that year he performed the instrumental version of this track for the first time live in Melbourne. (To hear this and more historical recordings head over to the 'rarities' playlist on @koshowko). In 2004 Martin met the Swiss vocalist Florence Etelka, who was travelling in Australia at the time and they recorded her haunting vocals in Martin's studio, a recording which you can now hear across all the tracks on this EP.
For the next couple of years Martin got busy with releasing other KOshowKO material but in 2007 he teamed up with Whitebait with whom he co-produced a new version of 'It's Time Now' and the radio edit complemented by a music video was released in 2008 as one of the tracks on KOshowKO's EP 'Anarchy Monarchy'.
Fast forward to early 2014 and Emerald and Doreen records puts out a previously unreleased vintage Dance Logic Remix of 'It's Time Now' on their very first compilation album 'Emerald Waves' alongside tracks by such artists as Skatebård, Ajello, Ali Renault and The Beat Broker.
The new 'It's Time Now' EP put together for Emerald And Doreen in 2014 includes the extended vocal and instrumental versions based on the radio edit as well as a selection of brand new remixes. Martin K wears his Philosophy Of Sound hat and delivers a funky and catchy as hell take on the track. Artists that he has been admiring for a long time also deliver their remixes here in the form of a retro styled dance floor burner by Irregular Disco Workers as well as a charming late night affair delivered by Marbeya Sound. The package also includes a dub remix by Boccaccio who takes the track in yet another exciting direction.
So come with us on this musical journey of several meticulously crafted tracks, as it is indeed the time now - maybe forever!

We have a lot of releases and remixes since 2010, our project’s foundation year. We think our most popular track is the Lindstrom’s “Vos-Sako-Rv” remix we did for Beatport contest (we won it).
But we are also known for our podcasts and edits, all included in our soundcloud account (/irregulardiscoworkers).

Could you tell us a bit on how you produce?

We tryed different applications, but we feel more confortable with Ableton Live 9. We work 90% online and we think Ableton Live is the real thing for this kind of work, with both Windows and Mac Os. We have 2 NI Maschine and some hardware synths. Often we start with an idea by one of us
and we try to work online on the same project, until we reach “compromises” between our thoughts.

Can you tell us about your remix for L'Enfant?

When we listen to “Electric Paradise” we thought that the track had the perfect funky mood and piano chords, that it could be remixed in a summer balearic disco way, with percussion, marimbas and trippy pads, perfect for beach parties according to us.

What can we expect from you in the near future?

We have some remixes and tracks coming soon.

Ettore Sorrentino and Giovanni Verga, aka Rotarydisco76 are back again, and sign the 43rd chapter of Disco Volante Saga.

"B-United", is a stomping progressive disco track, building beetween Psychedelic Folk and Cosmic that is the real Rotarydisco76 brand, with Krautrock and Post Punk influences.

"Someone With Sweet Attitude" explore the dark side of RD76, getting in touch with black and funk but also early times of house music. The track is a mid-tempo funk with live attitudes, with Uk Mid-90's jazzy house influences.

Waxlife turned B-United in a deep and dark rub, taking the original track guitar and adding a powerful groove, with real horror film atmospheres

Irregular Disco Workers takes the original "Sweet attitude" and turn it in a Acid-disco "dub attitude", adding percussions, spacey effects, a jumping synthbass on the original rolling one, and completing all with dark stabs, deep chords and piano rolls, with a piece of 303 bassline after the final break.

Ettore Sorrentino and Giovanni Verga, aka Rotarydisco76 are back again, and sign the 43rd chapter of Disco Volante Saga.

"B-United", is a stomping progressive disco track, building beetween Psychedelic Folk and Cosmic that is the real Rotarydisco76 brand, with Krautrock and Post Punk influences.

"Someone With Sweet Attitude" explore the dark side of RD76, getting in touch with black and funk but also early times of house music. The track is a mid-tempo funk with live attitudes, with Uk Mid-90's jazzy house influences.

Waxlife turned B-United in a deep and dark rub, taking the original track guitar and adding a powerful groove, with real horror film atmospheres

Irregular Disco Workers takes the original "Sweet attitude" and turn it in a Acid-disco "dub attitude", adding percussions, spacey effects, a jumping synthbass on the original rolling one, and completing all with dark stabs, deep chords and piano rolls, with a piece of 303 bassline after the final break.

Coming back to Italy to present a new upcoming producer, Eber Bosa, aka PiGaia, from North-East Italy.

Guitarist,piano player, Eber is really inspired by 80's new wave scene, and electronic music of the 90's.

He started to produce in 2012, in his studio in Veneto's country.
Electronic Music, according to Eber, is the best way to get in touch with nature, so, surrounded by farms,trees,moutains and and animals(especially pigs),ironically, PiGaia project was born.

In this release we had two tracks:

Wonderland is inspired to Mungolian traditional music, building a spacey slow asiatic disco track, mixed with traditional mongolian instruments, creating an epic atmosphere, and enjoyng the big areas of Mongolia Desert.

Irregular Disco Workers turn the orignal into a more dark and electronic disco sound, putting a rolling bass, and dirty spacey atmospheares inside,ready for dancefloor.

Natural Wurli is more ambient and hypnotic at the beginning, surrounded by electronic rhythm, and deep rhodes. Then the bass becomes more funky, and hard electronic synth help the groove to grow.

Richard Rossa Remix add electronic bass , heavy hats, and heavy synths for a real nudisco stomper.

The Italo-inspired electro-disco-rock combo Mohear are known to craft a catchy song that captures retro styles and updates them for a new sound that's relevant today. “Gadgets” is their new single for Austria’s Electunes label and is taken from the band's recently released album Baby. It's driven by characterfully cool vocals from Miss Sophie lamenting how attached we have become as digital captives living in a world overrun by electronic devices. Echoing pads, synths, and a bass line travel straight to funky-town with crescendoing electric organs and guitars taking control of the breakdown.

The remixes for “Gadgets” are many and varied, with something here for most DJs of wide-reaching tastes. With previous releases on Compost, Russian producer Sportloto turns in the first version, starting off with an arpeggiated synth straight out of the Chicago house’s most raw days, before introducing an organ bass riff and later spiraling into acid trippy-ness. The percussion is perfect with plenty of shuffling hats, drum flares, stacked claps, and a xylophone castanet combo that mimics the sequencing of the main synth. The Garage Remix from Mohear member DJ Enne follows with a fidgety bass sound, soulful keys, and plenty of percussive groove. The Irregular Disco Workers, made up of Italian producers Gregorio Assandri and Andrea Frittella, use plenty of guitar foreplay to warm things up before escalating into an all-enveloping rave bass line with a definite Chi warehouse feel. They also incorporate subtle acid sparks for the extra touch of heat to their remix. Viennese trio Struboskop tease out the vocals more than the other remixes, even pitching them down for some interesting interplay. They provide a more low slung and cosmic atmosphere with most of the instruments combining for a rhythmically layered track. As if the bongos on the Nu Gadget Remix don’t give it right away, Dansoul is a Brazilian house producer, but with sleazy nu-disco temperament as evidenced by the ’80s synths and very structured kick snare exchange. In a refreshing change of tempo, Berliner Sebastian Zangar, aka Databoy78, goes ‘dub’ with deep, echoing pad and stabs. Even with its many short, staccato notes, Zangar’s effects create a wondrous atmosphere.

Viennese trio Struboskop tease out the vocals more than the other remixes, even pitching them down for some interesting interplay. As if the bongos on the Nu Gadget Remix don’t give it right away, Dansoul is a Brazilian house producer, but with sleazy nu-disco temperament as evidenced by the ’80s synths and very structured kick snare exchange. In a refreshing change of tempo, Berliner Sebastian Zangar, aka Databoy78, goes ‘dub’ with deep, echoing pad and stabs. Even with its many short, staccato notes, Zangar’s effects create a wondrous atmosphere.

The Disco Volante flyes again across Italy, and drop from the sky another release by Irregular Disco Workers, that continue their joint-venture with the Scottish producer Peter Burton aka Semi-Functional.

After Megalopolis, more space inspired, is the turn of 1996,celebrating a really important period for European dance movement, remembering Greg and Andrea Teenage Life.

The Disco Volante flyes again across Italy, and drop from the sky another release by Irregular Disco Workers, that continue their joint-venture with the Scottish producer Peter Burton aka Semi-Functional.

After Megalopolis, more space inspired, is the turn of 1996,celebrating a really important period for European dance movement, remembering Greg and Andrea Teenage Life.

Italy’s Opilec Music looks towards the second installment of its ‘We Are Opilec…!’ compilation featuring exclusive
material from electronic music legends and young talents alike and backed up with a bonus disc of reworks, reedits
& remixes from label boss I-Robots…

Opilec Music is the brainchild of Italian DJ/Producer Gianluca Pandullo AKA I-Robots. The Turin based label boss has been
embedded in electronic music for the best part of 30 years, living through the cities hedonistic Cosmic & Disco days, the
early influx of Chicago House and Detroit Techno and everything that has come since. The label reflects this varied influence
with an eclectic approach to releasing music that has little regard for genre, showcasing everything from Disco to Techno, via
House, Electro, Cosmic and Electronica.

February 2012 saw Opilec Music release a critically acclaimed compilation called ‘We Are Opilec…!’ featuring music from a
host of artists, now the imprint is back with a second installment that sees Pandullo reach out to his many friends within the
industry to compile a stunning album featuring 3 discs of audio delights.

Disc One sees the album dive into deep, Cosmic & Italo Disco territory and who better to kick things off than the godfather of
Cosmic Italian Disco Daniele Baldelli. Baldelli teams up with Marco Diognigi for the superb ‘Imago’ which very much sets the
tone for the disc, a disc which features spaced out contributions from the likes of The Stupid Set remixed by Flavio Vecchi,
Klein & M.B.O.’s rework of The Units, Crowdpleaser, Irregular Disco Workers and I-Robots. From the looped
hypnotic tones of Irregular Disco Workers’ ‘Viaggio Nel Corpo Umano’ through the tape delay excellence of Mushrooms
Projects’s ‘Odissey I’ and on to Schaltkreis Wassermann ‘Psychotron’ remixed by Dynamicron there is not a dull moment on
the whole discs. A true CD highlight is perhaps the stunning I-Robots reworking of ‘New Dream’ by cult Italo Disco producer
Clay Pedrini, the original being one of the most sorteed after records on its original Sensation Records pressing.

Disc Two moves into Techno territory with an excellent Electronic selection that features in demand producers such as Virgo 4,
Eduardo De La Calle, Santonio Echols, James Kumo & Federico Gandin alongside legendary veterans like Jordan Fields and Claudio Coccoluto. The aforementioned Fields provides a superb old school cut in the shape of ‘The Rhythm of Romance’, a track lifted from an unreleased tape dating back to the late 80’s, whilst Chicago’s Virgo 4 shows his appreciation for the highly
influential 1982 Klein & M.B.O. record ‘Dirty Talk’, delivering a cover of the Italo Disco record that helped shaped the sound of
Chicago House. There is real depth and variety to this selection, running from intense warehouse style cuts to deep and
dubby Techno reflecting once again the label’s eclectic attitude.

Finally we have a Bonus Disc featuring exclusive reworked material from I-Robots in the shape of a stunning remix/re-edit
selection that sees I-Robots reach out to the likes of Derrick May & Mathias Schaffhäuser and rework some truly outstanding
music. Classics from the likes Rhythim Is Rhythim rub shoulders with cover versions of New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’ by
Colombian revelations Pernett/Lido Pimienta & Quantic and Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ by Fanatico (Mathias Schaffhäuser/Jorge Socarràs) for a genuinely unique and uplifting musical experience. Makossa & Megablast add another album highpoint as I-Robots take on a reconstruction of their superb ‘Shalo Baby ft OG Spiritual Godess’.

To compliment the musical experience Opilec Music have once again extended their perfectionist approach to the packaging
which will see a hand made package designed by Italian designer Eva-Style as well as the artwork by Edo and Japanese
painter Tamami Saito.

‘We Are Opilec…! Vol. II’ is a genuinely insightful music experience and a testament to the creative work of label boss

The first track is the personal vision of the last release of Disco Volante, made by Russian Producer Eclectic Sound. "Pareos" is changed is turned into a space balearic version, accellerating bpm, adding warm pads, dirty bass and spacey atmospheres... IDW wants to break the summer chill mode, and starts calling dancefloors for winter season.

The second work is a remix of Brazilian producer Luiz Pareto that was out at the end of September on Rainbow Socks: The house mood of "The Vibe" is changed in a real neo funk vision. IDW creates an amazing mixdown beetween analog sounds with jumping synths and stabs, and classic instruments like organs, pianos, and funky guitar. The first track is the personal vision of the last release of Disco Volante, made by Russian Producer Eclectic Sound. "Pareos" is changed is turned into a space balearic version, accellerating bpm, adding warm pads, dirty bass and spacey atmospheres... IDW wants to break the summer chill mode, and starts calling dancefloors for winter season.

The second work is a remix of Brazilian producer Luiz Pareto that was out at the end of September on Rainbow Socks: The house mood of "The Vibe" is changed in a real neo funk vision. IDW creates an amazing mixdown beetween analog sounds with jumping synths and stabs, and classic instruments like organs, pianos, and funky guitar. A nu-ghetto setting is included, with a real gunfire in the break

After some 12 inches released on vinyl only it felt right to collect some of the best songs released together with the brand new material and create an organic album, Supporting the album with a live setup (No laptop is involved).

Self made artist, up since 2004 with different projects, Deep88 decided to start his own label in 2011 in order to release his music with no care or attitude to trend or fashion sound, developing his own style, spacing house music from classic deep to extreme raw sample based, collecting historic music gears and hardware during the years and mixing them together with other new digital toys.

The result is an album where you can find some cheesy balearic songs together with some inner raw tracks, due to his eclectic attitude. It’s all about the way he decides to create music, it can be either using just an old sampler and a turntable or using some analogue and digital synths and a computer or just mix these 2 points of view together.

Ohhh snap! The fabled collaboration sees the light of day! Featuring two rising stars of their respective electronic worlds, this EP sees the hiphop-bassfunk prophet Audited Beats (aka Audit) team up with the young tiger of the Cosmic / Nu-Disco scene, Lazercat. The finished EP reflects their talents quite evenly- Lazercat's classically-honed virtuosity and penchant for 80s Italo records meet head on with Audit's razor-sharp production and dancefloor-ready arrangements.

Leadoff track "Catnip" features skittering, tinkly arps on top of future-proof FM bass and a tuff 808 beat. It deftly crossbreeds warehouse grooves with an atypical modern-soul chord progression to great effect, making for a versatile and unforgettable dancefloor moment.

Italian producers Irregular Disco Workers turns in a stripped-back dub of "Catnip" featuring some seriously pounding beats. He emphasizes the rhodes work and adds an ominous acid line, bringing the underlying urgency of the original to the forefront in fine style.

B-Side "Super 8 Sunset" is a hazed-out deep soul synth workout in the style of De De's classic S+M (Sexy Music). Homebreakin label boss Neighbour takes the sublime Super 8 and tweaks the groove into slo-mo house mode. Q-Burns Abstract Message:Phunktastike for me here ... love what they do. Irregular Disco Workers Italo Touch is nice + dreamy as well.

Dynamicron: Really nice release powered by the mixes of Phunktastike and Irregular Disco Workers. The treatment of Phunktastike gives a perfect disco touch to track turning it into a dancefloor weapon. On the other hand IDW lead the track to a elegant nostalgic landscape; sweet beautiful treatment.

Dj Gio Mc-505:Serj V Remix is really nice, I like the melody, the bassline, the funky slapped synthesizer, the dreamy pad. It's definitely perfect for the next summer. But my favourite is IDW Remix for Liquid Ice Cream: the fantastic voice of Fred Ventura (he is definitely an icon of genre) is decorating a fine track where House, Italo and Disco are combined in the best way. Leri Ahel (Mutant Disco Radioshow):Lovely ep and perfect timing. Irregular disco workers instrumental is lovely but the other versions are great too.

John Clements: Another strong release from Disco Volante! Lovely synth work on the original version, as always i'm a sucker for all things slo-mo so i definately enjoyed the downbeat vibe of the original. All remixes are good in their own way, but for me the Irregular Disco Worker's (instrumental) remix was the stand out track for me. A quality release from a quality label.

Kompleks: Whole release is great.Original mix is full of inspiration and good vibes. "Italo touch" by IDW bring me to past days, when people in clubs was nice and beautiful, and dance whole night like crazy horses:) Instrumenal by IDW is totaly "dj playable" in every situation. Phunkastike is already our favorite producer, and his every remix is fantastique:)

Here he offers up two more fine collaborations, one with fast-rising Soundcloud stars Irregular Disco Workers, and the other with regular muse Anthony Mansfield. "Ciao Bella", his showdown with the Irregular Disco Workers, is pleasingly Balearic; a shuffling, hands-aloft combination of slo-mo acid tweakery, drifting Harmonicas and piano house goodness. Think early Fila Brazilia meets Slow to Speak, and you're close. "Polk Street Stumblin", meanwhile, covers familiar Mansfield/Klein ground, offering a druggy analogue groove overlaid with weird noises and a killer double bass sample.

REVIEW:

Aniligital Music presents Slow Down, a slo-mo slammer of an EP featuring a Tal M. Klein collaboration with Anthony Mansfield (Hector Works) and another with Irregular Disco Workers (Cloned In Vatican & Dj Andryu).

First up is "Ciao Bella (Lento Sul Lido)." Here Irregular Disco Workers and TMK dial up a real beauty of a beach track influenced by those late night watchings of Emmanuelle movies with the acid lines of last night's rave still ringing in the ears.

Next, "Polk Street Stumblin' (Hey You)" is a pre-AM/TM Anthony and Tal collaboration found in a hidden folder called "gem" in Aniligital's old studio file cabinet. This "Disco Villain"-era slow disco/jazz fusion track of sleazy proportions is reminiscent of many nights spent stumbling away from a forlorn bar in San Francisco's Tenderloin district with creatures of the night shouting "hey you!" at the heels of those who pass them by.

Space invader Nicholars Chenard gives only broken information about Lisa being sucked into the ‘Black Hole’ and takes the original parts apart like no other. The buzzing rendition is infectious like a virus on your hard-drive. It does not harm your system, but turns your hi-fi into sci-fi…minimal-funk-esque:

As if ‘Black Hole’ was some kind of dark space movie from the past – Kid Machine’s Retro-Italo-Electro style delivers a film score-esque remix. ‘The Robot Scientists’ enter the Black hole only to find a near deserted, lonely secret world. Kid Machine used the melodies from the vocal chorus and replaced some parts with eerie, robotic vocoders to deliver a sense of ‘no escape’ and ‘no return’:

Casionova of the sacred Cyber Dance triangle and Magic Waves initiator is best known for his frequency-based nu-electro weapons he frequently drops like a wizard of italo disco. For all those who fancy a John Carpenter-like instrumental track rather than a vocal version, this ‘Black Hole’ Remix is fed with lush synth melodies, acid 808s and electronic devices that make an electro-disco lover go ‘hmmmm’.
