The warm-up slot is NOT a lost a art.
This recording is the first hour of a 3-hour DJ set I played warming up for DJ Deep, at the Orpheu party in Lisbon.
It was doors open, the room was slowly getting filled, I had three hours to play a nice progression of tunes slowly building up energy.
DJs shouldn't be one trick ponies and I enjoy playing bangin' tunes to a packed room as much as I do setting the mood for the headliner with slower, pretty music.
