His love for music led him gradually to the tedium of their favorite artists to production schedules, which came to him not long ago, perhaps a couple of years, with a commendable regularity and palpable in its most recent and elegant productions. These range from techno, house, drum & bass, hip-hop and grime.

She recently joined the Snuff Trax roster, with her track "Night Song", available on a 12" vinyl that also includes tracks from artists like Basic Soul Unit and Andreas Ghem. Last summer she started D55, a record label setup with her partner Photonz, dropping a split 12" featuring one track by each of the label's founders. Violet was also invited by Matias Aguayo to participate in the cover versions project, resulting in her own colourful and jacking version of Aguayo's "Una Fiesta Diferente", released on Cómeme. Her latest work "River Styx EP" is out now on the label One Eyed Jacks with a remix by Lisbon's techno up and coming producer Shcuro. Last march, Violet produced a female-only version for Uniderground Resistance's techno classic "Transition" with Nightwave, Coco Solid, Nancy Whang, A.M.O.R. and Mamacita, which caught the attention of the legendary Detroit crew that supported it by posting it on their page.

Djing and music in general has always been a focal point throughout his life and early musical influences paved the way for the future in which he has held down residencies in Miami at Pawn Shop Lounge and B.E.D and latterly back in the UK at Snafu (a club voted in the top 100 clubs in the World by DJ Magazine 2010 and 2012) prior to its closure in early 2014, and lately the Tunnels, based in Aberdeen.

Simon has been producing for around three years under the alias SiFi. His debut EP release “The Vibe” was release in early 2013 on Italian label Halfmoon and this broke into the Beatport top 100 and was supported by amazing artists such as Claude von Stroke (DirtyBird), James Zabiela (Rennaisance), Yaya (Desolat) and Paco Osuna (Plus 8) to name a very small few.

A rectification phase proceeded which allowed Simon to follows his path and refine the sounds that he was looking to create. Influenced by labels such as Loco Dice’s Desolat and Luciano’s Cadenza you can hear the subtle tones of South America and Central, Eastern Europe as they filter through his latest releases. A two-part EP “Lost & Found” named after the Snafu residency followed, and this was released on Miami based label “DreamAwake” in late 2013 and early 2014. This EP was widely received by artists such as TiNi (Desolat) Alexandar Ivkovic (Desolat) Bella Sarris (Enter), Archie Hamilton (Fuse), Medu (TipTap), Rebelski (Cadenza) and Marcelo Rosselot (Cadenza). The 2 track EP “What Happened” was then released on German label aba recordings and was very well received by many artists including Enzo Siraguza (Fuse) and Seb Zito (Fuse).

With a number of EP releases signed for 2015 and future tracks on the horizon, SiFi continues to DJ at selected events, clubs and festivals around the world. Keep an eye on this accomplished talent.

Recently I have released acid tracks on Western Panorama Recordings, and an electro remix on Vocode Records. On the DJ side I am a resident for Dark Knights based in South West UK.

This mix deliberately disregards genres, and instead looks towards producers that take music back to that original style. Acid, electro and techno spanning over 20 years, yet all cut from the same cloth - boxes and machines upfront with minimal production gloss. This is most definitely a producers mix, plenty of my own tracks and more mixtape than bigroom bangers, but I hope it makes for a good listen and gives you that flavor of original independent electronic music."
