Welcome to Volume 17 of our all 45s mix series, this one by Rednote Selector who has this to say about his mix:

I'm the son of a father who collected 45’s and jukeboxes and a mother with a finer taste in music. Growing up, 45’s were always selected in my home. As a result, a curiosity for genres, labels and record art grew quickly while admiring everyones collections.

I got my first 45 from my sister. My grandad's favorite tune was Desmond Dekker’s Israelites. I would watch my mom and dad dance together to all kinds of music selected by my family. That good feeling of selecting tunes has never gone away and now I have grown quite the collection of my own.

The Studio One label is one I have collected for many years. Here are a few 45’s from the Brenford Road power house known as Studio One. R.I.P Clement “Sir Coxson” Dodd.

Bigups to The Forty Five Kings. Enjoy.
