This mix is one that has been in the planning stages for awhile now, one that has sat in the back of my mind as I slowly but surely built my classic party hip hop 45s collection. It's small and full of the most well known tracks, but the idea is always to rock a party, make people smile and get down to some of the dopest familiar sounds around.

I recorded it live in one take, so it includes some mistakes but nothing to jarring or off putting as your smile grows, your rump shakes and you feel the funk out of my 45s hip hop trunk!

This is also a mix to put you in the mood for the next '45 Sessions' at Greenwood Loft in Fitzroy on Saturday 13 August with one of the best lineups you'll see.

Lastly I dedicate this set to my mate and partner in crime, Dj mixcloud.com/obliveus. One of the dopest 45s djs around.
