Richard Schneider (* 1986) came into contact with music early in life due to the influence of his musical father. He learned quickly to tease rhythmic beats from his drums – his first attempts at appeasing his musical appetite. However, he soon realised that this was not enough and began his search for more. In primary school, his repertoire was extended to keyboard and guitar. With the onset of puberty, Schneider tried his hand at HipHop and was excited about Beatboxing and Rap. Step by step he and his father developed a style with Rock and Blues elements which led to a passion for electronic music. With the addition of computer-generated sound, Richard Schneider was able to allow his creative juices to flow. The result: mostly Techno, Drum and Bass and Minimal pieces. At the same time he already brought as a DJ named “El SchnizZl” many Drum and Bass fans to dance and party. In this fundamental world he feels most at home and there he finds inner peace and relaxation. Without tiring, he works to perfect his pieces – often for days. One of his dreams was to establish his own music label that comes true now.

In 1975 Stonekult was born. His parents‘ own musicality influenced his childhood attempts. He tried the classical instruments like recorder and trumpet, and even joined his school choir. As a child, he experienced the increased use of electronic sound, especially as implemented by established groups such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Front 242. From the 1990s on, he gained experience in the German and European club scenes, allowing him insight into the techno movement. As a result, he intensified his (pre-)occupation with the genre. In 2009 he decided to transfer his knowledge and experience into his work as DJ, using a growing variety of equipment. He (co-)organised many events, including electronic parties during the annual ‘Bautzener Frühling’ and open air concerts from ‘Firletanz’. This development and the production of his own pieces caused him to take steps toward creating his own music label.

In the course of 2013 the two men met for the first time. Stonekult was surprised at the unknown talent he saw in Schneider and convinced him to join forces. The goal of establishing their own label became closer. Their label releases show passion and involvement and are a positive extension to the world of music.
