House Saladcast 039 @ Housego
House Call Records
Edinburgh, Britain (UK)

After attending a under 18's event at a local nightclub Housego was converted to dance music over night. From here he tried production using tracker programs and sampling synths borrowed from school. This developed an understanding of the basic structure of dance music. Influences at the time came mainly from tapes of recorded raves such as the Rezerection and Helter Skelter.
In the 90's he aquired some 1210's and started to seriously collect records, DJing at parties at Stirling University and mainly doing parties for friends and family.
Around 2000 he decided to release a white label sampling I:Cube and Harry Romero, "I knew I was coming in on the tail end of the late 90's house sound, but it just had to be done." This house sound such as tracks like Gustos Revenge and the mighty Rhythm Masters - Keep On Jumpin has shaped his sound today. This bootleg was sold to record shops in central scotland from the boot of his car!
"That release taught me alot, its a big thing mixing your own track on vinyl for the first time"
Attended Collage to improve production with Sound Engineering Cert. Around this time people were selling analog equipment in favor of digital production so Housego started to pick up equipment and build his own studio from the ground up.
Started One Track Mind Records and has had 11 releases to date, tracks of various genres, from Ambient to House, sold on Juno.
Moving to Edinburgh around 12 years ago stared a new phase, getting in to the scene, attending local raves, and nightclubs. Wrote the score for an award winning short film, won TokyoBlu DJ contest. (One of Edinburgh's longest running Underground House Nights) and moved on to DJ'ing every friday night at a local bar which he still resides at today.
Korrupt Disko is new night he has started in conjunction with Colin Mchale, running monthy in Glasgow and Edinburgh. This night is an attempt to bring the new jackin/funky/disco house sound to people. Big influences from the Guesthouse and InStereo labels and the many new digital labels appearing all the time.
First guest was the local hero Go Go Bizkitt and on December 21st they have the mighty Sonny Fodera playing.
New EP was released on Disco Future Records and another two new releases are expected soon on House Call Records.
Minority Music / The Factory
Oakland, USA

Rising from Oakland, California and fast becoming one of house music’s elite, Hector Moralez has paid his dues by working tirelessly from the bottom up. In demand at clubs and events throughout the world. Hector Moralez is renowned for his intelligent and soul awakening house music.

Hectors ambitions began at an early age of 17, where he would spend hours practicing on his decks with the vinyl he had just worked hard for at the infamous Primal Records. The knowledge gained from his experiences at Primal together with a long list of friends and contacts, allowed Hector to develop what has become his resourceful and creative sound. Whether in the studio or, performing live behind the decks, Hectors love, passion and energy is clear to see. His sounds take influence from Latin, jazz, funk, hip hop and soul and are of course sewn together with his apparent grooving bass lines and solid fat beats.

Hector’s character, hard work and innovative ability has given him a prominent standing in the house music scene, leading him to become one of the most sought after artists. Also forming the production phenomenon “Fries and Bridges” with occasional partner, Phil Weeks [Paris]. Releases from Hector have enhanced highly respected labels such as Robsoul, Music For Freaks, Nightshift, Detour, Vista, Brique Rouge, Doubledown and Lowdown Music. These popular works have lead to further demand with new releases due out throughout 2012 on Restricted Access, DJ Sneak Classics, Magnetic, Pacha Recordings. As well as managing and producing on his own distinguished underground labels, Minority Music & The Factory.

Coming in 2013 his highly anticipated debut album with Chris Carrier, being released on the amazing new French imprint Apollonia.

Hector sets no boundaries as he expands the limits with his exceptional and versatile approach to producing and presenting his interpretation and version of house music. This attention to detail, evident in every beat, has led to acclaim from house music’s highest ranked artists "DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Doc Martin, Dan Ghenacia, Apollonia, Chris Carrier, Mark Farina, Diz and DJ Heather.

House Saladcast 035 @ Lurob
Tango Recordings
San Francisco, USA

Lurob (Luis Roberto) is a Producer and DJ based out of San Francisco, CA. His creations and live performance influences range from underground Hip-Hop to Samba and Funk, while his original works and DJ sets take listeners on journeys of House and Techno stapled with the musical influences of his rich history that isn't lost on the dancer.

Lurob's first release "Dubalicious" was featured as the opening track on Mark Farina's "House of Om" mix; since then he has collaborated with various genre acclaimed artists such as Miles Maeda, Wally Callerio, JR from Dallas, and Alessandro Arbola. As HEARdis, a partnering with OM Records artist Still Rob G., he went on to release the highly acclaimed Broken-Beat remix on Atjazz EP "Please You"; giving the duo heavy club playlist-rotations and furthering Lurob's delve onto dance floors near and far. His "Do It Well" single introduced Lurob's sound to mainstream audiences when MTV featured Lurob's track in a popular series show. Never too far from the House game, he simultaneously released his chart-topping "The Southern Exposure" EP on Tango Recordings which earned him the position of A&R for the label, and saw him bring a fresh sound with a new arsenal of artists in House music today. With strong support of his tracks from artists such as DJ Heather, Giom, and Diz, Lurob's music has been well received from DJs and Producers worldwide.

Balancing a steady DJ schedule with relentless hours spent in the studio for new projects, this genre-breaking artist's most recent notable venture "Down the Road" was featured as the opening track for Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz 7. His latest chart-topping release is "Yellow Tremelo" on the Great Lakes Audio label, with his latest partner in sound Marijn De Langer (aka Soul De Marin). Since his debut single Lurob has steadily released material on several well-known House labels such as Coyote Cuts, Native Soul Recordings, Juiced, Greenhouse, Seventy Four, and So Sound Recordings, with upcoming releases on 1200 Traxx, Smoke City, and Lingo. Having the opportunity to establish his network worldwide, 2013 will see his efforts pay off when "UKNOWY", a Munich-based Trip-Hop record label co-owned with Stefan Lechner, gets underway with tracks ready to launch from artists such as Tommy Largo, Manjane, LeBabar, and K-Nto; with Sista Stroke already assembling the first compilation release for the UKNOWY mix series.

As a DJ he's just as successful; by consistently pushing his boundaries, Lurob effectively connects with his audience and engages them in full-on dancing delight. His method to the way he approaches both his production and DJing is single-handedly responsible for establishing a worldwide fanbase stretching from coast to coast across the United States, to the inner undergrounds of the Czech Republic and Western Europe. After a successful six month European tour in support of his latest releases which saw him headlining ten different countries on some of the best known sound systems in the clubbing industry, Lurob's already back at work on his second full-length album and putting the final touches on various EP projects.
Showing no signs of stopping, Lurob's vision of pushing his sound to the ends of the world and back again has steadily become a reality.

Corduroy Mavericks
Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, Matt Mason and Rick Nielsen, better known as the Corduroy Mavericks, are quickly smashing the stereotype that the Midwest is lacking in prolific house music producers. With their quirky range of jazzy, soulful, techy, deep and funky house, New York, Chicago, the West Coast and other dance meccas have been put on notice via the sonic enthusiasm of a pair of Corduroy-loving trailblazers from the Bluegrass State.
“Music is an integral part of our lives,” Rick says. “It’s the fix in my day that keeps me focused, energized and motivated. It’s a part of me the same way that my arm or leg is a part of me. I’m that guy that that listens to electronic music all day every day with a healthy sprinkling of funk, soul, jazz, swing and rock. These are all the influences that permeate our music.” When pressed further about their musical heroes, they quickly make note of the collective of the jocks out there hustling their sound. They’re drawn to producers they feel advanced the cause and created a unique sound within the industry, including artists and DJs such as the East Coast Boogiemen, Garth, Inland Knights, Mark Farina, Masters at Work, Miguel Migs and Joey Youngman, to name just a few.
Matt & Rick began collaborating in the studio circa 2005 and the last few years have seen them really hitting their stride. In July 2009, the Chicago-based Flapjack Records released their aptly named breakout track, “Break A Dawn,” which quickly climbed the charts on go-to digital music site Stompy.com. Suddenly, the house scene was flooded with their infectious beats. Now, 6 years later, the Mavericks have racked up releases on top outlets including Dufflebag, Flapjack, Beatdown, Coyote Cuts, Juiced, Funk Mansion, Alphabet, CHFM, Native Soul, Melon Dive, Ficus Tree, Deepfunk, 6th Sense, Gourmand, Chronic Beats and Serial Sickness, with more forthcoming tracks on Flapjack, Llama Farm and Roundhouse. “Different labels like different sounds so we are glad that we can appeal to a wide variety of outlets,” Rick and Matt agree. “Since our influences come from so many different styles we try to make what moves us.”
Having played across the U.S., including Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Nashville, Orlando, LA, San Diego, Portland (Oregon & Maine), Boston, Providence, Dallas, Denver and Phoenix, more than thirteen releases in three years and at least ten more in the works, the strong impact the Mavericks themselves have had on the house scene is clear. “I think that in any partnership, it takes time to establish roles and figure out the yin and yang of the creativity,” Rick notes. “Not only have we grown together as friends, but we have grown together as creative artists.” And their success is proof of that.
Based in Birmingham UK, Dan has risen from strength to strength with his unique take on music which began at the age of 13. Dan grew up on Soul and Funk which finally made his decision drop other passions and concentrate his music ability and understanding. Dan built his foundations by collecting and playing Vinyl from various genres of music which shortly lead onto Soulful House and recording live mixes. Influenced by other DJ’s and producers Dan took a keen liking to a catchy US groove know as Chicago/Jackin’ House in 2006/2007 which then lead Dan breaking into the house club scene in Birmingham & Wolverhampton. Just 18 Dan mastered his unique sound collection and started growing his own crowds. Just 2 years ago Dan decided to step up his game and take on a new challenge of making his own music. A Sound that was fresh and caught your ears by many generations. Having the influence from soul fuelled jazz; Dan built his EP portfolio and became recognised by the house legend that is Derrick Carter receiving the honors of remixing for DC's Classic label. Since then Dan has secured many new EP deals and remix packs with recently securing line up’s with Miami’s WMC 2013 and associated record labels. Still young in career Dan has great passion and tenacity to continue his strengths in making jazzy grooves and bumpin’ enjoyment.
He has releases on both established & strictly underground labels (Robsoul Recordings, Cross Section, Magnetic Recordings, Oomph, Smoke City Music, Subliminal Soul, Jump Recordings, Solid Trax, Sneak Classics, Liberate, Plush, Trax Café, Audio Abuse, Do Box, Council House Recordings). Arturo has new projects and remixes coming out on Magnetic, Underground Therapy Muzik, Robsoul, Solid Trax, The Factory, Beat Bum Music, & a track featured on Fabric #62 mix by DJ Sneak (Light it Up - Jump Recordings).
With a solid collection of tracks, Arturo’s music has helped define the unique and emerging Silicon Valley sound. This approach blends the driving, beat-laden beauty of techno with the soulful, deep melodies of house.

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Arturo Garces has been surrounded by dance music his entire life. The son of a serious collector of funk, soul and disco records, Arturo grew up listening to the roots of house music. These early influences are evident in his works as a DJ and producer today.

Interested in making his own music, Arturo got hold of a sampler in 1995 and hasn't looked back since. He has releases on both established & strictly underground labels (Robsoul Recordings, Cross Section, Magnetic Recordings, Oomph, Smoke City Music, Subliminal Soul, Jump Recordings, Solid Trax, Sneak Classics, Liberate, Plush, Trax Café, Audio Abuse, Do Box, Council House Recordings). Arturo has new projects and remixes coming out on Magnetic, Underground Therapy Muzik, Robsoul, Solid Trax, The Factory, Beat Bum Music, & a track featured on Fabric #62 mix by DJ Sneak (Light it Up - Jump Recordings).
