I felt like I was playing forever with this track.. I was working on a painting with the same name (the upper right corner of the thing is featured on the track cover).

This track features some experiments for me. The strummed accoustic guitar by Native Instruments, as well as their new Emotive strings. But also the first time I use a (subtle) gradual tempo change to build up the orchestral break. And some experimenting with the noise gate and a tad more automation than I was used to. Oh, and chopping up a sample of the track inside the track to try a different kind of break/drop.

I did enjoy making this, hope you catch some of that joy while listening to it.

(after 1 day I replaced the file with a slightly tweaked mix because I realized there was some unnecessary muddiness and a distorted peak in the bass near the end and after two weeks I suddenly disliked the lower end and loudness.. So I replaced it.. Twice. Changed the kick and balance and mix and even the shirt I was wearing.)
