Shin no Noir started as set series in 2007 with the aim to give answers to these questions. Melancholy makes you calm, giving you energy when you are mentally down. Dark music that makes you think, digest dark memories, and make you move on, when you are depressed.

Over the last two years, I thought about making part X to be something really different, after doing an best-of with IX. This set has not been created with DJ equipment, it is a studio mix instead, featuring some of the most influencial music that made me move on in times which where not easy for me.
I hope this set, the music which is included here, will give you strenght when you are down.

"Why is it not Hardcore music this time?" you may ask.
My personal opinion is that Hardcore, the genre itself, got carried away with being party music since a couple of years. The trance influence has been replaced, there is a different, emotional focus now. Songs, fitting with an melancholy, dark theme, which are new, became really rare, since everyone seems to be enjoying partying and making music for it instead. A genre should have two sides of main emotions. Think about the Yin Yang... there can't be only light.

That said, Shin no Noir will end as set series, after 8 years. It was a personal musical trip for me. I have met so many amazing people over the last years and thank everyone! :)
