I keep on thinking about how hard people work trying to force the messy progression of their lives into stories, often by folding the present back onto the past and looking for early hints, ironies and trends. Anything as long as it's a story—and a curvy, interesting story is better than a linear march into oblivion, even if the story is tragic.

This year has forced us into a linear march, working from home, schooling from home and the worst of all partying at home. Our bodies and souls crying out for something different, a kink in what we’ve been told might be a new way of life.

A tough year even though it has proven to be a serendipitous moment for self-reflection.

Simmy is one of the founding fathers of The Helmet Cracker Movement (#HCM), currently staying in Joburg, his music can't be put in a box he plays anything that qualifies as good music, always pushing boundaries and is recently part of a movement called Bold Xpresions (a platform that seeks to unite and uplift artistic enthusiasts and visionaries).

Simmy brings to us some metallic experimental electronics which he says is Tungsten Carbide in sonic waves.

Tungsten Carbide is often referred to as a Hard Metal due to it’s very high hardness in relation to other metals. Although called a hard metal, Tungsten Carbide is actually a composite material with hard particles of Tungsten Carbide embedded in a softer matrix of metallic cobalt.
