It was less a studio more a dusty shed on the banks of lake Sevan - I watched him drive himself mad with four hours of music and a motley assortment of amphetamines. Sometimes the mix would boil down to one hour - sometimes - back to three and half - but it would always be fluffed around the forty eight minute mark and have to be destroyed. I begged him to keep some sections - but he would scream at me until I went back to making tea and fixing a rig.
