Just over 2 hours of my favorite tunes. Having just got a Vestax 275R it was time to put her through her paces, and let me tell you it is such a joy to mix on! Smooth, crisp, warm sound, deftly handled by the slick rotary faders. Being able to find the right levels and give yourself exponential headroom makes for a great mixing experience. This mix is a cross of some of my favorite old records and a couple of new digital tunes. This mix is all that I love about house, particularly tribal. It's about rhythms. Rolling basslines working in conjuction with punching drum patterns and smattered with the occasional vocal and dark melody. Sometimes I plan the tunes I want to showcase but this mix was completely organic and off the cuff, in the moment, mixing for fun at home. Enjoy....
