I've been finding myself increasingly drawn away from making purely dance-centric mixes. A lot of this has to do with my increasing fascination with ambient, a re-kindling of my love for weirdo folk/rock/punk, and a bit of exhaustion in hearing constant 4 to the floor rhythms. Right now, it just feels really nice to let the music stretch out and not worry too much about syncopation (though that still carries it's thrill). So, in this set, which I am thrilled to share with you all as part of this INCREDIBLE series, I try to unite all these tendencies into, what I hope is, a cohesive whole. You'll find pensive slow-burning acoustic ballads, ethereal washed-out ambient, psychedelic jazz, jazzy glam rock, narcotic disco, a slightly melodramatic song about a beautiful blue sky and the immortal words of James Baldwin.

I really love these songs, and I really hope you all love them too, or at least hear them, and get a sense of healing from them.
