And with the likes of DJ Gregory, Dimitri from Paris, Franck Roger, Art of Tones, Rodriguez Jr. and Monnet himself having cropped up on the label over the years, that should hardly come as a surprise.
The imprint's latest installment, Blueday Stereo's 'Just Fly', keeps up this staggering and consistent run of form. This record however, is more in keeping with the sort of off-kilter output associated with the likes of a certain well-known San Francisco based label rather than one from the French capital. As it turns out however, this break from convention is no bad thing.
Indeed, the title track earns its stripes through a combination of the groovy and the sultry, with Jocelyn Mathieu's vocals, a host of trumpets and a clever sample ensuring this is a record that'll make quite the impression wherever it's unleashed.
Dagui Rodannls 'In Da Funk' mix is just as its title suggests, with the spirit of Prince and Funkadelic shining through on this one. Lino Sparking's interpretation is more-electro inclined, although both remixes do well to keep a hold of Mathieu's vocal contribution.
Timothee Milton then brings a sexy deep house gloss on his remix, before the label boss closes the EP courtesy of his turbo-charged remix.
