Fedoseev was born in Kudymkar, the administrative centre and town in the territory Komi-Permyak Okrug, within the federal subject Perm Krai. He lives an almost fully autonomous existence that requires him to travel 22 hours straight by train to Moscow. “Perm is a disgusting city,” Fedoseev says. “It’s dirty, boring, and rough. I’m afraid of walking outside; that’s why I sit at home and watch movies and make music.”

Fedoseev is best known as the ex-drummer for the band Gnoomes, but now focuses on solo material as KIKOK, a name that translates as “arm leg” in Fedoseev’s native Komi-Permian.

For this week from Russia this artist presents us a mixtape full of textures and complex harmonies.
With a touch of atmospheric dark tech at times, it is a deep mixtape to enter into an altered state of mind.

Of Hispanic / Chilean origin, he has been a compulsive digger of vinyl since 1997, dj, promoter and editor / Of Spanish / based in Berlin / vinyl activist since 1997 / Electric Selectors / United Colors Of Rhythm / Musical critic on dj mag.
In 2000 he moved to Barcelona, where he discovered clubs such as Nitsa, Razzmatazz and later BeCool, spaces where he absorbed club culture, awakening a deep investigation of rhythms from the past and drawing a path towards the figure of the dj as a multidisciplinary artist and rich in sound diversity.

During this period, until 2009, he looked for a more personal sound in the electronics approaching musical fields like: Disco, Leftfield, Slow techno, Idm, New Wave, Ebm or Electro. Currently, the sound he exhibits walks with the idea of connecting the roots of black music with contemporary sound.
After almost 20 years of musical experience, he is now considered one of the artists with the grea- test national projection. He is half of the Electric Selectors project, events in which he is committed to promoting the young national talent and has recently become a member of United Colors Of Rhythm, label which is about to publish their first musical productions.

After a meteoric and exciting 2019, he has shared a booth with artists like Map.ache, Freudenthal, Pardon Moi, Paula Tape, John Tejada, Alejandro Paz, Serge Santiago, Alvaro Cabana, Ben Sims, Fernanda Arrau, Luis Costa, Gela o Jackwasfaster....


He has played his sets at clubs like Razzmatazz, Be Cool, Feinstoff (Berlin), Crack Bellmer (Berlin), Operator (Rotterdam), Rinse (Paris), Noa Noa (Santiago, Chile), Mamba (Brazil), Florida 135, Row 14, Ballesta, Republik or Wonderday (Montpellier ) among many others.

@uncle-ru undoubtedly played his part in the 90's London dance scene. He co-founded The Rotters Golf Club with Andrew Weatherall, was instrumental in the mid-90’s Brixton scene with the George IV (club nights vent and Circulation, the latter also in collaboration with Weatherall) and even put on the first ever night in Fabric. As well as gigs all of the UK, he's played Paris, Miami, New York, Copenhagen to name but a few, before settling in Sydney in 2002.

Since then, Uncle Ru has played at every Lost Paradise, closing the last three. He's been a resident of Return To Rio, closing Saturday nights since conception and he's also resident of Rotary Disco, with his series of same-titled mixes getting considerable airplay on SoundCloud. With one foot heavily in nu-disco, the other foot wonders off in a world of musical twister, taking in house, techno and slo-mo chug, often with a cosmic, spacey feel for good measure. He's not one to be pigeon-holed, and effortlessly glides between genres. His most recent set from Lost Paradise proving just that.

Since then, Uncle Ru has played at every Lost Paradise, closing the last three. He's been a resident of Return To Rio, closing Saturday nights since conception and he's also resident of Rotary Disco, with his series of same-titled mixes getting considerable airplay on SoundCloud. With one foot heavily in nu-disco, the other foot wonders off in a world of musical twister, taking in house, techno and slo-mo chug, often with a cosmic, spacey feel for good measure. He's not one to be pigeon-holed, and effortlessly glides between genres. His most recent set from Lost Paradise proving just that.
