Piano Fantasia is a Italo-disco project from Thierry Durbet - who also produced “Shake It Up (Do The Boogaloo)” by Rod in 1988. “Song For Denise” is his 1985 release which is an instrumental with many elements which Italo-disco displayed during the early and mid-80s. The electronic production gives us a simple groove which a piano melody joins in throughout the piece along with a few synthesized strings and breakdown keyboard parts. It is one of the airy numbers which feels like a summer drive on a road leading to an endless destination. An arrangement which gives us more of the melody when we need the warmth of the piano and the groove to keep our bodies swaying.

I have taken the 12” version and the dub of “Song For Denise” and reworked it for this ReStructure Mix to pay homage to this lovely number. The electronic breaks and percussion are more outlined in this new arrangement and a cold fade made evident for the closing.</description>
