Miss Cheryl Lynn "Sleepwalkin", the original track was recorded for the "Instant Love" album in 1982 under Luther Vandross/ Marcus Miller production umbrella.
I also wanted to have a follow up for my Aretha Franklin "It's Your Thing" rework that I did 1 year ago, as it is the same kind of production, with almost the same incredible cast of musicians:
-Marcus Miller on Bass
-Yogi Horton on Drums
-Nat Adderley on Keyboards
-Steve Lowe on Guitar (who replaced Doc Powell for this particular session.)
So that means, this Cheryl Lynn rework is number 2 on this trilogie, you can expect in the future a 3rd track reworked from Luther Vandross/ Marcus Miller original productions.
I love Cheryl Lynn and I play a lot of her songs in my sets.
Please be informed that I didn't have any stems or multitrack to proceed my rework; I used the original records from my collection and, beside the new beat that I added, all the other Drums and Bass sounds that you hear is from my original album.
Please be kind to repost it, play it as much as you can.
