Bottom Forty’s first release perfectly represents the eclectic, adaptive aesthetic that the collective has proudly cultivated. N.D.S.F. is the serendipitous collaboration between Bottom Forty’s creator Nark, Friends With Benefits Records label honcho David Sylvester, and soon-to-be LA-based producer powerhouse Futurewife. Weaving samples of their favorite records into original songwriting, “Fine On Your Own” is a seemingly light-hearted house track that turns deep, with a pounding yet cosmic 303 that beats on your chest while the vocal samples keep your spirits high. By the end of the breakdown, the infectious melody of “Fine On Your Own” has worked it’s way into your head, and you’ll find yourself dancing to it all night long.

While the original track synthesizes each producer’s style, the accompanying remixes transform “Fine On Your Own” into each individual artist’s world of dance music. Nark’s remix brings “Fine On Your Own” into the dark, vibrating basements where industrial subtleties make their return into techno, whereas David Sylvester’s mix juxtaposes the acidic and atmospheric elements of the original, tying them together with dubbed out synth stabs, and finally Futurewife’s mix pulls "Fine On Your Own" into the climax of a party rocking set with its driving nu-disco vibe.
We are so proud to bring you a release which features a collaboration with one of seattle biggest talents and featuring one of house music's pioneers. @Futurewife is one of seattle's best kept secrets. Owner of PYT Records, his foray into deep house is a breathe of fresh air and takes us back to that old school viva vibe from the early 2000's. Partnering with @Sunshine-Jones has proven to be a success with this deep and funky track that keeps you moving from start to end. @Sunshine-Jones is at his best evoking emotions only the way he can and telling a story we can all relate to. Accompanying Sunshine, @tiffwanee provides backup vocals to round out this spectacular tune. @Sunshine-Jones also supplied two stellar remixes that takes us to another dimension filled with melodic rhythms and superb production quality.
From: Men From Nobu "The Best Of Us EP", We Have A Dream (Futurewife Remix)

Distilling their sound in venues from Paris and Berlin to New York, the newest addition to Nylon Trax’ back catalogue comes from three man group Men from Nobu… from France. The group’s first release on Nylon Trax, entitled ‘Best Of Us,’ is an eccentric, electro-house affair comprised of three original productions studded with African-inspired elements, and remixes from a cast of hometown heroes.

Taught disco strings imbue tingly feel-good sentiments in the title track anchored by a 4x4 plod of broken keys and stripped bass lines. Similarly to the title track, ‘Step Up’ and ‘We Have A Dream’ both deliver stout, healthy portions of mouth watering analog machinery, live drums, and rustic afro-centric vocals. A palette that is anything but staid one could expect to hear such sounds bellowing out of secret, innocuous venues lesser known to the common club-goer.

Be sure and check out remixes from Ze!, label head Jaymz Nylon, Marques Lafelt, Futurewife, Adam Warped and Aswell.

Written and Produced by: Men From Nobu (Jean Dovy, Roy Rhythm Marouvin and Vartan Fau)
Mastered by James Thomas in the Nylon Studio
Published by Man Made Nylon Music / BMG Chrysalis
Executive producer: Jaymz Nylon

@VivaRecordings is proud to present Same Ground, our latest offering from Portuguese artist @PedroFaria, featuring @KavinaLadean on vocals. The original is a stumpy foray into house territory, with a strong, dreamy synth line that underscores Ladean's vocal work beautifully. @Pezzner follows up with a captivating remix, transforming the original into a cerebral, dark and jazzy deep house cut, taking the listener on a subtle journey through sound. The Futurewife remix of Same Ground picks up the tempo and provides us with a more tech-house interpretation of the track, while still maintaining its deep and soulful essence. Viva label head @Neiro contributes a nice rework as well, chopping up Ladean's vocals to maximum effect and sculpting a strong bass line to keep this track moving ahead perfectly. @ProvokeRain rounds out the release with a final remix, by the far the most "techno" of all the remixes. Dark and stripped down synth work, coupled with bizarre and otherworldly vocal lines create a track ready for the weirdest hours of the night. Same Ground will be released on August 26th via all major digital outlets. Thanks for listening and as always, thanks for the support!

Joseph Terruel - String Orchestra EP

Fruit Of Life debut release String Orchestra EP sees Mexican artist Joseph Terruel back on a strictly disco infused tip with this future boogie classic. Two soul nuggets from the aforementioned master of deep heavy grooves backed up by three super solid remixes taking you through a variety of deep disco house based flavors.

First up is the original edit of String Orchestra. A Lusciously crisp disco break, classic loose claps, and bouncing bongo beat, driven by the boogie bass line and funk filled keys. The orchestral symphony and soulful vocals married in perfect harmony is what drives this track. A truly magical disco edit that is sure to have crowds freaking out across dance floors the world wide.

We then have a debut release from an up and coming Romanian producer know to us as Sonicvibe. Deep, deep and getting even deeper with this flip on the original. Crazy cool sampling in this track packed with gorgeous break downs and, funky fresh build ups, echoing vocal stabs and super warm synth bass.

It's then the turn of veteran deep tech house producer from Taiwan, Eddie Hu. Packing a punch from the start, not holding anything back with this deep dubbed out edit. Heavy kick and snare, rolling bass and added synth stabs served with lashings of white noise. Try to stop bopping to this bad boy remix!.

Last up on the remix action is the American-born, Futurewife. Providing the French - touch, disco - house ingredient. Slick melodic chops, sliding square bass and a killer foot tapping boogie beat, no less than you would expect from this sample wizard.

Joseph Terruel is back to conclude the EP with a short, super smooth, soul driven skit "Dubstrumental". Showcasing further his incredible talent for creating solid powerful disco edits. The final slice of magic on an EP that is guaranteed to appeal whatever your tipple...
This is Mix Le Fun's new release is from Seattle's one and only, Futurewife. He is a one man production outfit who's bass fueled moody disco had been blowing our minds and has helped out http://soundcloud.com/mixlefun on Salon Acapulcos "Atardecer". Following up a debut release on http://soundcloud.com/mortarpestlesounds and another one inhttp://soundcloud.com/immersed-audio alongside a string of remixes for the likes of http://soundcloud.com/pyt-records, Indo Silver Records and Foreign Friends, now we are glad to present the "Shake The Money EP".

It comes along with two excellent remixes and a funky, French banger for a B Side. The original track is a future funk hit perfect for the dance floor keeping everyone attention with it's strong bassline and leads. Driving it home is Mexico's new funk star, http://soundcloud.com/futurefeelings giving the track a fresh treatment and sexified groove. The final remix, done by Colombian prodigy http://soundcloud.com/itsicarus, runs Shake the money through all the disco banger filters imaginable. Finally "Pardon?" makes a perfect B side with an upbeat and more disco approach with tasty sampling in the filter-French style.

Seattle's Futurewife is a one man production outfit who's bass fuelled moody disco had been blowing our minds over the last year. Following up a debut release on Mortar & Pestle alongside a string of remixes for the likes of PYT Records, Indo Silver Records and Foreign Friends, is "It Gets Better" on our very own IA Records.

We've worked closely with Futurewife on the EP to ensure quality throughout and hand picked a selection of remix artists to compliment and further build upon the original track.

The original title track is an infectious and brightly coloured disco affair, with underlying bass music elements working alongside the summer feel good vibe. The vocals are what really makes this track shine, chopped and edited in a way that creates that distinct Futurewife sound.

Taking care of the first remix is an artist that is really pushing things forward in terms of original ideas and creating his own take on house music, http://soundcloud.com/lakosa. With Mary Anne Hobbs being amongst the ever increasing group of supporters it's clear to see this will be a good year for the Midlands based producer. His remix keeps it subtle and deep, with raw sounding drums, a grainy synth and makes use of a looped up section of the vocal.

Next up is http://soundcloud.com/romamusic who is based in France. Our introduction was through his recent 4 track EP on the newly formed label Bebup. The tracks varied from deep to crazy percussive club bangers and it was the deeper side of Roma we requested for the remix, and that's exactly what we got. Gorgeous late night vibes, pitched kicks and subs and a floating synth that melts perfectly into the remix.

The final remix we requested was from http://soundcloud.com/pikcha, now part of the http://soundcloud.com/immersed-audio team. After featuring on our first release with his track "Disposition" and gaining support from Phon.o amongst many others, we are now putting his remixing skills to the test, and he certainly doesn't disappoint. Taking the tempo up and making full use of the vocals, Pikcha goes in hard at the drop, brutal drums and a low end that will shake the foundations of any club with a half decent system, this version is aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

Rounding off the EP is a second original from Futurewife. "Isla" is an atmospheric and fairly laid back track, low slung drums with a firm emphasis on the bass, warming synths glide above, with another fine example of the chopped, looped and pitched vocals that make that signature sound.

<itunes:summary>Seattle's Futurewife is a one man production outfit who's bass fuelled moody disco had been blowing our minds over the last year.

We were discovering a few new producers who were exalting a sound with a more organic feel to them, while at the same time managing to sound like no one could physically play the tracks on regular instruments. With this in mind we started playing about with a number of different “world music” records to try and find something as far removed from electronica as possible.

In the end, having collected some nice oohs and ahhs, we were left with a cut and paste sample pack of various drum fills. Perhaps our favourite part of “live percussion” is the fills that drummers do to lead into another progression; it can be, in some genres, the only chance a drummer has to show his skills. Copying and pasting all the fills together left us with a bizarre hodge podge of disprate toms and snares all thumping away with an arcane menace; we loved it. We loved it so much, in fact, that we repeated the whole thing for around 6mins, sprinkled it with our, probably trademark by now, stupid bass synth and called it krakatoa

we hope you like it,
<googleplay:description>We were discovering a few new producers who were exalting a sound with a more organic feel to them, while at the same time managing to sound like no one could physically play the tracks on regular instruments.

The fantastically named “Housework” E.P is a rolling production line of beats and grooves that seem to go on forever. Each track a carefully selected batch of bars and notes from various sources, pieced together in constant motion with hypnotic results. Be it the slow sunset beach melancholy of Voodoo (Its that) or the filter house of Close It Down, the record sparkles with musical flare and astonishing confidence. An added bonus comes in the form of 21 year old Italian http://soundcloud.com/stereocool’s ‘okay’ remix of Springer Spaniel, turning the spaced out intro track into a fully fledged disco bass wriggler.
As we are beginning to shed our winter wears and replacing mulled wine and coco for mojitos and ice cream, we are looking to Futurewife to supply our soundtrack to summer 2012.
