Seattle's Futurewife is a one man production outfit who's bass fuelled moody disco had been blowing our minds over the last year. Following up a debut release on Mortar & Pestle alongside a string of remixes for the likes of PYT Records, Indo Silver Records and Foreign Friends, is "It Gets Better" on our very own IA Records.

We've worked closely with Futurewife on the EP to ensure quality throughout and hand picked a selection of remix artists to compliment and further build upon the original track.

The original title track is an infectious and brightly coloured disco affair, with underlying bass music elements working alongside the summer feel good vibe. The vocals are what really makes this track shine, chopped and edited in a way that creates that distinct Futurewife sound.

Taking care of the first remix is an artist that is really pushing things forward in terms of original ideas and creating his own take on house music, soundcloud.com/lakosa. With Mary Anne Hobbs being amongst the ever increasing group of supporters it's clear to see this will be a good year for the Midlands based producer. His remix keeps it subtle and deep, with raw sounding drums, a grainy synth and makes use of a looped up section of the vocal.

Next up is soundcloud.com/romamusic who is based in France. Our introduction was through his recent 4 track EP on the newly formed label Bebup. The tracks varied from deep to crazy percussive club bangers and it was the deeper side of Roma we requested for the remix, and that's exactly what we got. Gorgeous late night vibes, pitched kicks and subs and a floating synth that melts perfectly into the remix.

The final remix we requested was from soundcloud.com/pikcha, now part of the soundcloud.com/immersed-audio team. After featuring on our first release with his track "Disposition" and gaining support from Phon.o amongst many others, we are now putting his remixing skills to the test, and he certainly doesn't disappoint. Taking the tempo up and making full use of the vocals, Pikcha goes in hard at the drop, brutal drums and a low end that will shake the foundations of any club with a half decent system, this version is aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

Rounding off the EP is a second original from Futurewife. "Isla" is an atmospheric and fairly laid back track, low slung drums with a firm emphasis on the bass, warming synths glide above, with another fine example of the chopped, looped and pitched vocals that make that signature sound.
