With the holidays fast approaching, it can seem like time is being swept out from under us. Wasn’t it JUST 2016? Now the decorative lights are being hung, the lawn creatures are stretching their legs and the energy is shifting - things are darker, cooler, and held closer.

The holidays can be an interesting time for people. I say “interesting”, because for some, they look forward to it ALL year! They can’t wait to pull out their boxes of lights, decor and yard fixtures and schedule out their favorite festive flicks, line up their holiday tunes, and color code their garments.

For others… they could take it or leave it.

And still for others, it can be a serious time of stress, anxiety, guilt and even shame.

I can’t tell you how many people I chat with who feel like victims to their genes, like they have this genetic destiny that is looming over them at all times. They talk to me about how their mom had an autoimmune condition, or their grandfather had heart disease, and I can sense their fear. Fear that they will end up like them…

The truth is, we’re not victims, because over 98% of our genetic blueprint can be modified! It’s called epigenetics.

So what is epigenetics? In this episode, we'll talk about how our genes can change their expression without altering our genetic code. This means that the choices we make can actually “turn up” good genes while “turning down” or even silencing “bad” genes.

BUT this also means, that we can make choices that do the opposite, right? We can end up turning up the bad genes and turning down the good genes, which can lead to various diseases or pathological conditions.

Check out this episode to learn more about how you can change the trajectory of your health, starting today!

The average person spends about 25% of their time at work, and for many of us, that time is spent at a desk. That’s a lot of time, especially considering that we spend about 33% of our time sleeping (in an ideal world, of course). Which only leaves about 40% of our day to do whatever it is that we like to do.

If we’re being honest, I’d venture to guess that, as entrepreneurs, we generally like what we do, and as a result, we actually end up stealing from our free time and spending quite a bit more than 25% of our day at a desk.

Because of that, it’s essential that, not only our space, but also our boundaries around this space, are carefully planned and curated. So in this episode, we’ll not only be touching on the basics of ergonomics, eye strain and repetitive motion injuries, but also about mental and emotional boundaries, toxic relationships and the difference between urgent and important tasks.
