Influenciado completamente por el techno proveniente de Detroit, y el dub techno, Julixo emplea formulas de alto contenido musical para dar su visión actual de la música electrónica.

El 24 de diciembre del 2014 , presento su live en Tresor (Berlín), catalogado como uno de los mejores clubes de Europa, también se presento en varios eventos en Barcelona (España), entre ellos Macarena Club, Proyecto Válvula, entre otros.

En el 2015 emprendió su primer gira por Colombia, presentándose en el festival AVALON (Oriente), en Mansión club (Medellin) y en Enterprise (Pereira) entre otros .

A finales del 2015, también realizo una presentación en San Pablo (Brasil), bajo el marco de la fiesta BLUM .

Con tan solo 25 años, Julixo lleva editados mas de 30 eps digitales alrededor del mundo, y 8 eps en vinilo, en sellos mundialmente reconocidos como A R T S, Subosc, Knotweed, DMT, Woods n Bass, PAR, Abstrac Animal, Nasty Temper, Darkrose, Kaputt, Fluxus, entre otros.

En su corta pero prolifera carrera, ha compartido cabina con artistas como Mariano DC, Jonas Kopp, Santiago Merino, Luca Synthek, Jacopo, Udolph, Lucas Mari, Mekas, Farceb, Mental Resonance, Franco Gonzalez, Nimsk, Broqua, SX2, entre otros.

Esteban has released on such respected labels such as Planet E, EPM, Rogue Society Underground Quality, and his own ICAN Productions. His affiliation with Detroit's Underground Resistance has played a key role in shaping his sound as he continues to find the perfect balance between House, Techno and beyond.

In 2004, Esteban was invited by Mad Mike of Underground Resistance to participate (as a Keyboardist), in his then new project, Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Los Hermanos. After a brief apprenticeship with Banks, Esteban returned to production again. Through this venture with UR Esteban began working with hometown colleague and G2G band mate Santiago Salazar. And it was through this that ICAN Productions was born.
ICAN, which is short for MexICAN, is a creative outlet for Santiago and Esteban. ICAN’s first release, oddly enough was not through UR but through Planet E. Since then ICAN has had 2 releases on Planet E and 6 on ICAN Productions.
Recently Esteban has collaborated with long time colleague D.j. Dex, a.k.a Nomadico, from UR in a project simply called EL Coyote. This project debuted its first single on ICAN entitled Ezfuerzo and has a full length E.P. soon to be released on ICAN.
Esteban continues to DJ, produce, play keyboards and any combination of the above. He has also remixed for various artists and has several remixes to his credit. He has appeared as a guest performer/DJ all over the globe in such venues as, The Edge in Sao Paulo, Fabric in London, The Cabaret Savage in Paris, The Loft in Barcelona, and Berghain in Berlin to name a few.
The future is looking bright with many more projects on the horizon for Esteban. In April 2013, after some years promoting events and running clubs, we started this vinyl adventure, aiming to bring timeless techno tracks back to physical and touchable format.

One year after our back catalogue is growing and filled with sound designers like Orlando Voorn as Basic Bastard, Basic Soul Unit, Hd Substance, Santiago Salazar and Hoax Believers. During this busy year we have also turned into a booking agency representing our artist roster in a proper way, and now we are proud to introduce you our release number six: our first Various Artists featuring the cream of the crop in the spanish techno scene.

Chords are the main component in this four tracker, deep techno is the style and the makers are Architectural, UnCUT, Eduardo de La Calle and The Transhumans.

Opening A side, Architectural kicks in with Lightning Conduction, a sonic journey thru the deepest side of techno, solid kick drum and hipnotic sequences are joined by lush and liquid chords and pads that evolve and change constantly during the arrangement creating a dynamic piece of intelligent music as only Juan Rico can make.

On the second cut, the misterious duo UnCUT provide one of their deepest exercises with Deviant, fat kicks again, solid chords, sharp percussions and melodic pads all arranged on a complex timeline that constantly moves and changes.

On B side, Eduardo de la Calle provides an analogue rythm fuelled chord odissey on Divinity Laws, as always with this producer, rawness and deepness join together in harmony with a solid step into tradition.

Closing the release, another hidden duo, The Transhumans, sign Food for Silicon Beings, A solid rhythm beat for starting soon joined by subbass frequencies, pads and of course chords, effected and twisted wisely on a complex arrangement.

Four timeless exercises of classic techno, perfect for intelligent dancefloors and skillful dj’s.

Genesis Ep is a showroom of the sonic capabilities of this two studio wizards, cooked slowly using a mixture of analogue and digital tools, their sound is warm and fuzzy at the same time, deeply rooted in the Detroit / Chicago axis.

Providence starts with a classic 707 beat with the music elements growing slowly into the track, floaty pads, melodic FM sequences, heavy harmonic workout and soul all over the place.

Accenture is the fast one here, compact drums, sharp and shuffled 909 hats, synth sequences and bleeps and an intelligent arrangement.

The man who never was, maximum danceability on this one, classic drum machine sounds again, shuffled beats, continuous one bar arpeggios, string tension and some hammond_esque riffs.

Closing the release, Skyscrapers City runs in the same vein, classic resonant synths, organic percussion, funk basslines, pads, strings and music, This is definitely not a monotrack.

In our determination to keep on building realities, and after many years working as a promoter and hiring agency for artists, managing our own club, we have brought out a new Fanzine Project: Fanzine Records.
With the same working philosophy and our own unique way of understanding music, the label combines the experience of consecrated international producers with that of others who have new and interesting ideas to contribute to the scene. Committed to maintaining our roots but without forgetting the evolution we are immersed in, we will publish all our recordings both on vinyl and in digital format.

Fanzine is still writing its own story :)

FIRST RELEASE.
BASIC BASTARD (AKA ORLANDO VOORN) AWAKEN EP
Fanzine Records’ first recording is called Awaken EP and is by Orlando Voorn, alias Basic Bastard; four tracks in which a classical sound is mixed with refreshing melodies and that will be published on vinyl and CD.
Awaken opens the EP with force, personality and a great dose of feeling, in a perfect presentation that leads into Imagine It, a track in which the artist suprises us again in a natural track, as powerful as it is hypnotic. The time for instrumentals comes in Higher Ground, where strings are mixed with voices in a pleasant track. External brings Fanzine Records’ first recording to an end, once again in a fun interplay of sound with rhythmical nuances that from a distance could recall jazz.]]>
