Made as practice video for a premiere PRO course. I had some video material left, for this new video. The drum is rolled over the earth to connect it to the earth energy, a sheep is sacrificed and there is dancing until the shamans are in deep trance, now he can proceed to the healing.

I haven't been sitting still for the past six months. I have performed, with some help, several repairs and hardware updates in my studio. Replacing ordinary 303 transistors, with rare ones, which clearly improves the sound. Also replacing an AD/DA converter, of my supernova II, which had to be done under a microscope!
I also did an online mixing & Mastering course. That will certainly be reflected in the sound.
I have practiced extensively with making mix & mastering and I feel there is a clear progress.

This is an ode to the movie : They Live by John Carpenter. A film that was of great influence in the 80s. And made a big impression on me when I was young. I especially remembered those big texts on walls and advertising signs. Texts like : Stay Asleep, Obay, Buy, Consume, Watch TV, No Thoughts, Submit, Marry and Reproduce ! This cult classic tackles issues which have become of increasing importance since its release in 1988. It's up to date again and there is nowadays whole cult around this movie, look out for the EV – Terraformers - YT pix slideshow. (It could explain global warming)

This new Vortex EP could have been released earlier, but things went wrong halfway through the mix and the remaster. First my Supernova II that stopped working and then the computer whose power supply broke and 2 video cards, before everything worked again.
I found out my Supernova II has a chip with a factory defect, which is now being replaced. Also, it seemed complicated to me to work with 24 bit (this mix 13 channels) and make a stereo 24 bit re-master of it. But in the end it was not too bad, most of the work is actually finding out how it works. Making a remaster is also quite relaxed, you can now fully focus on the sound and small settings. the end result is so much better ! So now, real analogue sound in HI-Res Stereo 24 bit / 48 khz and Full HD video ! Buy your HI-Res Stereo Track on Bandcamp (See Link)

The samples come from a previous track from DTM published by me. They come from movies of the 50's and 60's. When we still believed that UFOs were going to rescue us or else pick us up. So Aliens, please beam me up ! I can be of musical use.

It took me a long time to release a track again due to some hardware issues in the studio. For example, I had to replace transistors in my TEEBEE MK2, because they no longer sounded cool. And in the SuperNova II, a new micro ship had to be soldered in. Luckily I had some help, but it's working again and the sound hasn't been that good. (cool) I also bought a RE-303 and learned to work with it.

So, I used Remaker to covert my Rebirth RB-338 compositions into midi and worked it out in Cubase. I add some voice samples and change the baseline. Also I had to clean the tracks of non-useful (controller) data and made some little changes, so the composition is almost the same. I did not used the original Rebrith sound, only hardware : 4 analogue clones (2 baseline & 2 lead) and analogue drum machines. The recording was made with a liveset. Do you also want to try Remaker !

New re-load of the track Psychedelic Therapy, the limit of my reason mixer is a sieved. The original track didn’t come out in the Reason mix. Because, I find out, the 303 resonance is distorting the delay in Reason mixer and effects the rest of the sound, the Reverb can handle the 303 resonance more. But that was not my effort with this track. That why this track is now an original Rebirth rendering.]]>
