The Hitch Hiker Symphony

by Elwood Herring

A "rock symphony" based on the original radio series of "The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. All the music is original (apart from the voice samples, and a few very brief "homages" from some 70's rock albums in the final part.) It starts off quite simply and regular, but gets more and more complex as it progresses. In the final part there are passages which contain multiple simultaneous time signatures, multiple keys, and all kinds of compsitional trickery. There are also leitmotifs - each tune represents a character in the story. You don't need to know this to appreciate the music however, but you might spot Marvin's tune (the Paranoid Android) for example. And don't forget - share and enjoy!
