The main nonstandard techniques used to generate textures from the sample were layered hex edits and forced reinterpretations performed on the data across multiple audio and image formats. more typical sound design techniques included FM, granular synthesis, traditional sampling, etc.

All effects&manipulations are stock Ableton, aside from nonaudio tools (Audacity - used only for file conversion, 0xED, VLC, GraphicConverter9, Pixelmator), Granulator m4l patch, and H-Delay.
