Recorded live at Cingal (Baltimore, MD)
This is tape 2 of a 2 tape set.

From the Jimmy DePre mixtape archives.

DJ Ernie Dunda was a DJ from Baltimore. He worked at the Hippo in Baltimore. When he first moved to NY, he worked at that Starship Discovery nightclub in Times Square. He also played at the Danceteria in NY. He started the Thursday gay nights at Studio 54. This was before DJ Roy Thode. Roy then took the night over. Ernie then moved back to Baltimore. Mark Ackerman (one of the big light men at the Saint) brought him up to play at The Saint, in NY, on a Sunday night. He played, "She's a Bad Mama Jama" and "Flashlight". He didn't go over well. That was the only night he ever played there. When the new club, Cignal in Baltimore, opened, in '84 or '85, he was their house DJ. DJ David Morales has quoted him in a few interviews as his first inspiration as a DJ.
