Rainforest is dj.producer, Rodrigo Álvarez. He is the founder and label manager jungle/dubwise imprint, Breakbeat Rebelz. His music is deeply inspired by syncopated rhythms found in jungle breaks and tribal bass lines inspired by sound system culture. He has released 3 albums and several EPs on labels: 45Seven, Monochrome Recordings, Movementinsound, Omni Music, Skutta Records, Vibration Records and Mettasonic, respectively. He is known to push the deeper aspects of the genre, employing lush atmospheric pads, roots/dubwise production sensibilities and half time jungle breaks. As a producer, he makes conscious effort in setting off a narrative for each track. Formerly operating under his Blok One alias, he has now started another project called Kongonaut, where he explores 140 bass music, dub, and dancehall production styles mixed in with his own signature imprint. His latest release, "Rise Of The Warrior" is now available from Monochrome Music label. Big things in store for 2018.
