Helping me Draw The Line this week are my guests, Sisters of Reggae, who are the UK’s First All-Female Reggae DJ Collective. Founded in 2016 by Lucky Cat Zoë, Sisters of Reggae​ play Rocksteady to Revival, Jamaican Oldies, Ska, Roots, Rockers, Dub and Early Digital Reggae.
Lucky Cat Zoë, Debbie Golt, Miss Feelgood, Naoko The Rock and Sweetie have supported some of the biggest names in Reggae. These include U-Roy, Marla Brown, David Rodigan, The Hempolics, Channel One, Max Romeo, Axis Sound System and many more. Helping me Draw The Line this week is my guest, Joely who comes from Los Angeles.. Joely's been DJ-ing for 4 years. She has dedicated this mix to a friend and co-founding partner of #NXT_Entertainment. Jarin Love decided this world was not for her and tragically ended her life in April, just 3 days after NXT Entertainment's first event. Two of the tracks are borrowed from that set as they remind Joely so much of Jarin, and they are the Victor Ruiz tracks.
Like her name, Jarin was all love, a big part of the LA underground dance movement, very talented, hardworking and supportive of others. NXT plan to call attention to mental health awareness at their future events, in her memory and honour.

The first hour consists of a mix of tracks written and produced by women. This week it features the LP 'If Only - A State of Peace' by Nur Jaber, and the EPs 'Razor' by ANNA and 'NAF 97' by Camea.

Helping me Draw the Line with the guest mix in the second hour is Ly Sas who comes from Prague, Czech Republic. She used to be a guitarist and songwriter for various rock and metal bands. Influenced by electronic music records coming from Detroit and Berlin she started to make and perform her own beats. Her music draws upon underground and industrial techno but also pulls ambient and dark textures into its orbit. Her debut EP, a collaboration with Nick Elia, is to be released on Variance later this summer and she’s currently spending lots of time in the studio developing her craft and preparing new tracks.

For our first ever guest mix in the second hour we welcome Kamelia Parwanowa who comes from Bulgaria. She is now based in Trondheim, Norway and is co-founder of Northern Impact, one of the most appreciated club concepts in Norway.

Her great passion is Acid Techno though she also plays deep-house, deep-tech and minimal. She's already shared the decks with some of the most popular Norwegian DJ's such as Faia and Thomas Skjærstad.

In March 2018 she played her first international gig - in Plovdiv, Bulgaria with her partner Vass Nikoloff. In May 2018 she will be performing at the Sugar Factory, Amsterdam for Techno Tribe by invitation of Zett Feral, and she also has a gig lined up for the monthly Femmes Fatales event in Oslo this autumn.

Kamelia has pure, unadulterated passion for the music and talent. When she is behind the decks it's getting hot!"
