Welcome to Jumpin' With Stagger Lee #33. My office is cold, my hands are freezing and the mixing might be a bit shonky, but I reckon the music is magnificent.
We start with a new discovery (for me) by the TSU Toronadoes (sic), which is the most joyful thing I've heard in years. The Go! Team more than thirty years early. There's a track from The Delines' recent tour single, and a long and gorgeous cut from Gene Clark's No Other album that's getting the glitzy reissue treatment this month via 4AD. There's recent-ish tracks from Louder Than Death, Bonnie Prince Billy,King Salami & The Cumberland 3, Sturgill Simpson (great song, terrible movie) and man of mystery (except not so much), Orville Peck. And all the usual reggae, soul, garage, French pop and folk nonsense. There was nearly a ten minute Eddie Gale track but I'm not sure you're ready for that.
