DM.Recordings are delighted to announce our third release of the year, Detox EP by Rudo Deep.

This artist was always set to do big things since the world was introduced to him via his first EP "Announcement" which was released in 2014. Rudo's diverse sounds has matured over the years as he captures both a soulful and tech sound with an afro distinction which sets your body to automatically dance.

This is the first of a two-part EP which includes 4 banging hot tracks determined to be on the wish list of every house music lover. Rudo firstly gives thanks to the label boss D-Malice with the track "Thanks to D.M" that has sublime depth truly defining deep-soulful house. "Goodbye" displays his tribal roots in a uplifting dynamic way which creates warmth and desire for more. With "Detox" and "Anubis" sets the bar high for all deep house producers and shows how to bring the feel of the clubs to your speaker.

Rudo Deep well known as Phakamani Mazibuko to fellow friends and relatives is a young producer hailing from the east side of Johannesburg. As a young boy he always was involved in musical activities during my early school years. He started by joining the choir when he was 8 years old and that's when he fell in love with the piano and was intrigued by the soulful sounds it brought. Rudo first started producing hip-hop beats at the tender age of 14 and already had a chance to meet up with some of the well-known acts in the culture of hip-hop. At the early age of 16 his passion for house music began, he started mixing and collecting house music with a couple of friends. Every Friday he would have a mixing practice session then on weekends he would go on to deejay in local pubs free of charge. During the period of 2010, he was slowly and fairly being noticed by people from his hometown due to holding different kinds of sessions in local pubs. In 2011 he became co-founder of a group called Loose Grooves which made a name for itself and consisted of five members. They were resident deejays for local spot in Johannesburg called Pata Pata and that's where they started playing around different pubs/clubs.

After a long period of producing music, he was later discovered by Infinite Boys (Kalawa) and mentored by Sculptured Music (House Africa). He worked on a number of remixes and original works which were showcased on Afrodesia mp3 and Vogue sessions hosted by Infinite Boys. In 2014, Rudo was introduced by fellow colleague Jonny Miller to record label owner of DM.Recordings, D-Malice who signed him to label with the his first release "Announcement".
