This year DM.Recordings vow to continue bringing new talent to the scene and showcasing different sounds of house music. In keeping our vow, we are proud to present the debut EP from Calypso De Sir entitled ‘Incognito’.

Coming from Bizana, a small town situated in the Eastern Cape, Calypso De Sir is an upcoming producer/DJ that caught our attention through his simplistic 4/4 beat patterns that have layers of groove which exemplify why this is made for the clubs. Tracks such as ‘Zitabata’ and ‘From A Distance’ have atmospheric synths that are combined with dramatic claps which take listeners on a journey - this is a key element in creating great house tracks. This EP is a seamless listen and unquestionably puts Calypso De Sir on the map for African-infused electronic music.

After first appearing on their First Coat EP that was released in 2015, ‘Oscillation’ became the stand-out track from Deep Montage and Kaysoul that had been heavily requested to be revisited 2 years on.

With the creative heads of names that are renowned in the Afro/Deep sector of house music, we are pleased to pronounce the release of the Oscillation remix package. Aside from the gently-deep original by Deep Montage & Kaysoul, we have the label boss D-Malice step up to give us an even deeper swing on this track whilst making it easy for listeners to identify him by his signature electro stabs and sharp claps. Em Ex who had evidently drawn the attention of the European scene this year supplies us with a skippy remix that is definitely one for dance enthusiasts. Lastly, Infected Soul makes this track scream “Africa” on initial hearing as he displays his focus on letting the afro sound overshadow the deep but not undermine either sound.

This package cannot be missed from any playlist if you are determined to move the souls of lovers of house music in all its forms.

Pronounced as his deepest and most electronic EP release since he began his musical journey in 2009. This EP was made to give full power to all speakers its played through and it most certainly could not be ignored when landed on the DM.Recordings table.

We are honoured to present Demented Soul’s energetic work entitled ‘Thee Unveiling’ EP. From Soweto in Johannesburg, Demented Soul has demonstrated his perception of a high-infused afro electronic extended play. With tracks such as ‘Tech To Deep’ he has shown great emphasis on how pads can tell a story when writing an electronic musical novel. Teaming up with Tman on ‘Sekumoshakele’, he gives a more sultry track that is as smooth and soulful as afro house can come. Lastly, Demented Soul really makes a statement with ‘6 Minutes of Devistation’ which can only be described using two words - journey and mind-blowing!
With that being said, DM.Recordings are happy to announce our first single release coming from South Africa’s very own DJ Embassy entitled ‘Clap Song’.

The Polokwane born artist couldn’t have chosen a more fitting name for this track as it is exactly as entitled. Embassy’s simply uses snappy clap’s with an elevating synth undertone that is a great showcase of how progressive the production sounds in afro-house can be. ‘Clap Song’ is simply layered in a dramatic manner that are bound to move your body to express itself in many ways on the dance floor.

DM.Recordings proudly present to you their latest signing to the DM’ fam! 104 BPM, a talented music producer from, Gamalakhe (Port Shepstone, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa).

This emerging house music producer blesses us with his debut EP, “Routine Life” featuring five intense productions, sure to set dancefloors across the world on fire!

104 BPM began producing music early 2012 and hasn’t looked back ever since, some of his highlights thus far is being part of the top 6 remixers for a national remix competition, the collection of all the remixes then went on to being released on digital stores as an EP (Supernatural Love, The remixes)

His influences range from everyday life, spirituality and past experiences which are evident in this EP. Starting off with Ihubo, which infuses traditional African rhythms with current dance music, making the listener wanting to simply move! As we move on to the 2nd track of the EP it gets deeper, 5PM & Feelings, which has a gritty bassline that makes you bop your head accompanied by a hypnotizing pad and rolling beats! Track 3 is simply, “for the heads” 104 BPM just goes straight underground with this creation, with straight forward key stabs, hard hitting beats supported by a melodic bassline. Pulsating pads, moving basslines paired up with the traditional afro house beat “Self Doubt” is the fourth track of Routine Life”
Bringing this first chapter to a close, 104 BPM provides us with Fodi’s Hum, a track that definitely evokes some emotion, with hard hitting snare rhythm and chanting background vocals, 104 BPM sure tell us a great opening story to his musical journey.

When Sibusiso Mhlongo, famously known as DJ Merlon, released his album “Original Copy” in 2015, he described it as the red carpet to walk into the well-respected areas of the music industry. With the success of his album, “Reflections” has been renowned in South Africa as a solid hit simply for its strength in vocals from Khaya Mthethwa and dynamic instrumentals. In the process of making “Reflections”, Merlon was approached by the multi-award winning and most prominent electronic music producer, Black Coffee who offered to be apart of the track and add his signature Durban style.

In celebration of DM.Recordings 50th release, this is a package that sends ‘Reflections’ through an international electronic journey showcasing the different calibre of house with multi-cultural influences. Revisiting the tasteful original mix from DJ Merlon and Black Coffee with such a distinct guitar riff, Khaya Mthethwa does an outstanding job on the vocals and seals the track with perfection. One of the best keep secrets in deep house is Radeckt but as he steps up to add his reflection on this remix, his name will be heavily researched. Radeckt brings up the tempo and with precision he converts non-believers of house music in displaying how this track can blow the roof of clubs. This musical journey takes a visit to the minds of two producers that are no strangers to making hits - D.M Recordings label boss, D-Malice teams up with Johannesburg’s multi-talented Cuebur. Right from the very first kick, D-Malice and Cuebur make use of jumpy afrocentric drums and low-deep pads enhanced with extensive synths as ingredients for a certified banger. Who else other than Enoo Napa could take a smash hit single and take it to a level beyond the listeners belief? Enoo Napa has rapidly become one of South Africa’s most gifted upcoming producers and in this vigorously-intense remix. Enoo has displayed the meaning of afro-tech in his ‘Afro Dub’ but also adds an extra spiritual element to both takes. Lastly, our very own Rudo Deep provides consistency in this great package with another percussive explosion - adding further electronic flavour to the tastebuds of those that truly appreciate authentic house music.

The name DJ Satelite and Cee ElAssaad are two of which has been mentioned consistently throughout the year and most certainly have made their mark on the Afro House scene with great releases. To add further to their catalogue, DM.Recordings are proud to present our forthcoming release and label debut from DJ Satelite and Cee ElAssaad with their single ‘If Only’ featuring Inami.

These clever pair of producers have embedded their culture/nationality in their original by providing listeners with a full flavour of Angolan and Moroccan house music. This smooth, base-rich track is nicely heightened with tribal drums and slick vocals from Imani.

To add to the original in creating a fuller package of music, our very own Jonny Miller is back with a dreamy spin on this track through his masterly keys. In addition to this, Jackson Brainwave provides even further depth with an edgy tech sound capturing his distinctively sharp kicks. Lastly, Caiiro wraps up the remixes with a well crafted afro-ridden remix that will speak straight to your feet given it orders to dance.

This EP is set to do big things and take us into the last quarter of the year in high spirits.

<googleplay:description>With a release that is very well suited to the summer months, DM.Recordings are glad to announce the second EP from DJ Lesh SA with ‘Music Is Life’.

DJ Lesh SA has greatly expressed how much music means to him and the goodness it brings to the lives of others through the amount of soul putting into ‘Music is Life’. With his distinctive bouncy beats and light kicks, ‘Music is Life’ is clasped together with soulful smooth keys that interpret how good music should make you feel. This track is given a real jazzy feel with the piano played at such a beautiful pace which really accommodates the clubs as well as the dancers of the streets. In addition to this, Lesh brings ‘Love Triangle’ which delivers a electronic edge to his soulful sound to further validate the message of this release.

In 2014, an anonymous individual capably managed to leave an unforgettable footprint in the sound systems of many international clubs with his debut release ‘Sleepless Nights’. DM.Recordings are very excited to announce the return of Corinda with ‘The Chase’ featuring the proficient wordsmith Lebo.

'The Chase’ demonstrates the soulful side to Corinda through a slick display of the transcending expressive synths used to underline the hip-moving drums - composed alongside the spoken word of Lebo who tells the story to which many relate in the chase of something wanted so much. Alongside Corinda, we have Rudo Deep step up on production and give his very own interpretation of this chase that elevates all elements of afro-tech. This package is polished off with a heart-felt remix from the late Eddhi Cheq who really has gripped listeners with his Heartistic dub version and remix that has an ambient tone which focuses on the atmosphere created around this track.
This EP will have you revisit the chasing feeling you had in 2014 when you were left wanting more - this is Corinda.

This duo have been hailed by South Africa as two gentleman who have immersed the underground african sounds in the ears of music lovers outside the motherland. DM.Recordings are very delighted to present our forthcoming release and label debut from P.M Project with their single ‘Lifetime’ featuring Charlene Lai.

This elaborative original cleverly takes you on a base surfaced journey that is layered with smooth intricate melodies, including high-spirited chimes that backs the sleek vocals of Charlene Lai.

Oral Deep steps up to add further spice to the original with creating more emphasise on the stimulating chords and beautifully played keys that just makes the track feel ever so dreamy. Jackson Brainwave gets his hands on this track by giving it a powerful afro-tech rub which will make it impossible for you to keep still once you hear it. The sharp but soft kicks very nicely edge the electronic synths firming this engrossing release.

About P.M Project

Before P.M Project was formerly formed, all members of the group were mobile DJs in their hometown, Virginia in Free State. Growing up in a neighbourhood surrounded by negative deeds such as crime, gangsters and drug abuse, it never discouraged, or lured them to committing to such activities. They knew they have a special talent in music, and share common interests. They started working together as a group, organising small events to promote their music and came up with the name, Positive Minds; it soon evolved to P.M Project.

Positive Minds or P.M Project as many will know them by, was formed in 2007 and they have been releasing music as P.M Project since 2010 on local and international record labels. Labels such as DNH Records (Canada), soWhat Records (Israel), SoSo Deep Records (US), Blackwhole (RSA), Deep Calls Recordings (RSA) and Atal Music (France) to name a few. They have defined and introduced their unique style of Deep/ Afro-House, which has been influenced by global, African traditional music. Over the years, P.M Project held DJ Residencies and performed at various events, and club nights alongside renowned artists, musicians and DJs, the likes of Liquideep, DJ Christos, Micasa, Mr. Cee, Abicah Soul and Harrison Crump.

Early 2010, P.M Project got busy in studio and was soon discovered by Stephen Rigmaidfen; the founder of SoSo Deep Records based in California, United States, and began to release their music to the world. “Bosiu Kaofela” was their debut single on SoSo Deep Records. The debut single got released, digitally, and it peaked at 24 on Traxsource Top 100, now how is that for a debut. After the debut release, P.M Project began to do remix for renowned producers and artists around the globe, including Hanna Hais, Suges , Oscar P, Mr. Cee, DJ Veany and Andy Compton to name a few.

When you hear the name Punk Mbedzi, you have Deja Vú of a track so powerful that spread the afro/deep house sounds right across the seas. With this name, DM.Recordings are proud to present our debut release from the very talented producer Punk Mbedzi with ’The Storm’ featuring Sphelele.

The ever-dynamic producer Punk delivers a triumph EP that is perfectly layered with heartfelt spoken words from Sphelele that is literally is bound to move every listener, dancer, DJ by storm. This highly intense track paints a great deep feeling and understanding of how distinctive Punk’s production has always been. In addition to the cracking original, Punk blesses us with a dub version displaying his identifiable bouncy kicks and high-hats to which he has counterpointed the vocals of Sphelele alongside a thumping deep bass. Punk has surely proven how he can make two club bangers out of one track and DM.Recordings can assure you ‘The Storm’ will not keep you still.

About Punk Mbedzi:

Born and raised in the province of Limpopo in Polokwane, South Africa, Punk began producing phenomenal compositions at the tender age of 16, releasing his first solo project “The Roots Are Calling ” EP (2010), which led to him meeting up with producer Da Capo. From this relationship Da Capo later encouraged and motivated him to cultivate his craft even more.

Upon teaming up with Da Capo and DJ Swizz, the infamous and highly influential “Surreal Sounds trio” introduced their own movement, sprouting the birth of record label Surreal Sounds. With an impeccable backing from record label Soul Candi, in 2013 Punk co -produced and released Surreal Sounds' first album, “Surreal Selections Vol.1”. In 2014 the trio decided to split up to pursue separate and solo career paths, but remain good friends, & are often still associated with one another.

Following their split in 2014, Punk released one of his most successful projects - “Deja vu” which was number 1 on one of South Africa's biggest and most accredited radio stations, YFM's on the Hot99 Dance Show chart, hosted by Just Mo.

Punk's different and melodious sound continues growing from strength to strength. To the testimony of his great work he has drawn attention from acts such as Boddhi Satva, D-Malice Nick Holder, N'Dinga Gaba, Djeff & Silyvi, DJ Zinhle, Magic Soul, Lemon & Herb, as well as having worked on projects for the likes of world-renowned record labels: Soul Candi, House Afrika, DNH, Offering Records, Nulu Music & Peng Africa.
To contrast this, ‘Danzii Vibe’ is a deep tribal track with a township aura delivered to the listener but is nicely heightened with keys. 2Point1 brings a very nostalgic sound with the live cut of ‘Nga’Linda’ featuring seductive vocals from Ntombi; in addition to this he teams up with Tapes on ‘Wa Xitwa’ showing the depths of his productions. Lastly, Tapes also gets on the buttons and producers a floor-thumping afro-tech track alongside Butana called ‘Mme Rata Ntate’ meaning Father and Love.

From an individual that had taken the afro-house scene by storm beyond the motherland, DM.Recordings are very proud to announce our next release from Mobi Dixon.

Mobi is an artist that has been easily identified for his soulful blends within the afro sound which is usually blessed with enticing vocals to which this time he has teamed up with Trankei Republic to give you 'Ubudoda'. This track is the definition of deep tribal afro-house as its dark drums are embedded amongst native chants and words that are drill deep into the body of the listener.

Alongside the original work of Mobi, this release has been graced with remixes from DM.Recordings very own producers who continue to display their ability to take such a great track to another level. Label owner, D-Malice takes Ubudoda on an floor-thumping extensive journey into deepness but brings further attention to the native words of Trankei Republic. Jonny Miller provides his signature 'afro-tek' mix which is a captive bouncy beat injected with an intense electric stab that is enclosed with beautiful synths.
In addition to these two great remixes, Hitman Lamberti gives a dynamic afro-tech spin to the track with great bass depth. Lastly, Infected Soul finishes off the package with further elaboration on the tribal sound by producing a breath-taking remix.

DM.Recordings are delighted to announce our third release of the year, Detox EP by Rudo Deep.

This artist was always set to do big things since the world was introduced to him via his first EP "Announcement" which was released in 2014. Rudo's diverse sounds has matured over the years as he captures both a soulful and tech sound with an afro distinction which sets your body to automatically dance.

This is the first of a two-part EP which includes 4 banging hot tracks determined to be on the wish list of every house music lover. Rudo firstly gives thanks to the label boss D-Malice with the track "Thanks to D.M" that has sublime depth truly defining deep-soulful house. "Goodbye" displays his tribal roots in a uplifting dynamic way which creates warmth and desire for more. With "Detox" and "Anubis" sets the bar high for all deep house producers and shows how to bring the feel of the clubs to your speaker.

Rudo Deep well known as Phakamani Mazibuko to fellow friends and relatives is a young producer hailing from the east side of Johannesburg. As a young boy he always was involved in musical activities during my early school years. He started by joining the choir when he was 8 years old and that's when he fell in love with the piano and was intrigued by the soulful sounds it brought. Rudo first started producing hip-hop beats at the tender age of 14 and already had a chance to meet up with some of the well-known acts in the culture of hip-hop. At the early age of 16 his passion for house music began, he started mixing and collecting house music with a couple of friends. Every Friday he would have a mixing practice session then on weekends he would go on to deejay in local pubs free of charge. During the period of 2010, he was slowly and fairly being noticed by people from his hometown due to holding different kinds of sessions in local pubs. In 2011 he became co-founder of a group called Loose Grooves which made a name for itself and consisted of five members. They were resident deejays for local spot in Johannesburg called Pata Pata and that's where they started playing around different pubs/clubs.

After a long period of producing music, he was later discovered by Infinite Boys (Kalawa) and mentored by Sculptured Music (House Africa). He worked on a number of remixes and original works which were showcased on Afrodesia mp3 and Vogue sessions hosted by Infinite Boys. In 2014, Rudo was introduced by fellow colleague Jonny Miller to record label owner of DM.Recordings, D-Malice who signed him to label with the his first release "Announcement".
