Music and sounds of Jason J Brown

A classic bedroom DJ start found Jason J Brown pottering about on the decks in his house before the DJing bug bit Jason like a grumpy Rottweiler that hadn’t eaten for a week.

Professional sets loomed and before long Jason found himself thrust behind the decks of some of Scotland’s West coast finest clubs & bars. The October Cafe, Archaos, Yes Bar, Planet Peach and arguably two of Glasgow’s finest venues, The Sub Club & The Tunnel have all enjoyed Jason’e musical tapestry. A frequent visitor to the Southport Soul Weekenders in the early days, which helped provide him with some vast knowledge of his favourite music fine tuned Jason’s musical ear.

After a short DJ break, Jason headed up Sumfin’ Soulful, monthly soul and house nights in Lanarkshire which is when Sumfin’ Soulful Sundays on Groove City Radio was created.

Jason always aims to provide dancers with some of the best Deep and Soulful House tracks he can lay his hands on, whilst mashin’ up some soulful and funk drizzled beats into the blend also. A well known face on the Scottish scene both on and off the dance floor, yes he is one of those rare creatures…..A DJ that dances!
