DJ_Wildr

I've been Mixing since 1983, when I first heard the likes of Greg Wilson, Les 'Mixdoctor' Adams, Chad Jackson, Ritchie Rich and Herbie 'Mastermind' Laidley throwing records together with skill and panache!

My educatiion came by taping their shows from the pirate radio stations (LWR, TKO, JFM, Kiss etc) and listening to them over and over again - I broke LOADS of tape decks rewinding & replaying the tapes (just to hear the transitions).

My first attempts were pause button Mixes, trying to hit it on the beat every time.
I evolved from there to turntable & reel-to-reel stuff and then on to using Mini Discs (ugh!) and then CDJ's and now I'm pretty much Software based - using MixMeister Fusion and Traktor/Abelton Live, although I do still Mix using CDJ's - just to keep my skills fresh !!

In "Real Life" my name is Roy Wilders (and you'll hear both my real name and DJ name mentioned if you tune in to any of the radio shows that feature my Mixes (check my Facebook page for details).
