DJ Welly - Last Ever Set at Wigan Pier - Aug 2008

After a 12yr residecny at Wigan Pier (my second one), my final farewell in August of 2008 was always going to be an emotoional night, a capacity crowd rammed the famous old venue for my last ever set at the Pier before i embarked on a new life down under in Australia. The night was unreal, the atmosphere was electric, and the crowd (as they always were) were amazing.

I would personally like to thank each and every person that came through the doors during my 12yr stint at the club, the place had an atmosphere like no other, and will go down in history as one of the North West's most important venues.

A special thankyou goes out to Phil Hongkins and Malcolm Thorpe who gave me a start at the Pier as a young 17yr old in the late 80's, they taught me a hell of a lot and I owe them both a grate debt of gratitude.
